Udaipur
This being my first solo trip i thought to start with exploring Rajasthan. I started with Udaipur known as City of Lakes, it does jusitifies his name.
I took train to Udaipur from Mumbai and reached at 9 in morning. After getting ready i first landed up in "City palace - the shaan of Udaipur". It is spread across vast area and in it resides the most beautiful Pichola lake. The best view of the lake can be witnessed during sunset.
After this it was time to explore City palace Museum. City palace campus has many museums and other places, and every place has its entry fees. I decided to visit City Palace museum whose entry fees is 330 (300 for museum and 30 to enter the campus). City Palace Museum has a remarkable collection of ancient sculptures, curios, antiques and inscriptions of the bygone era. In fact, the museum is divided into several pavilions and halls. Every pavilion has a distinct theme of its own.
Other than exploring different places, the other most important thing is the food. Every place has its own special food which makes you go WOW. So there was one such place Sai Baba Paratha. It is situated near Vintage car museum and is a small stall with great parathas fully loaded with butter and loads of butter.
After this i went to Fatehsagar lake which is also amongst beautiful lakes in Udaipur. The also have boat rides which gives a lake tour.
Lakes and Sunset they are made for each other, so i would suggest to visit this place during sunset for the best view.
