The thing about going on a trip in mountains is you will always miss the warmth of the bonfires in the cold evenings, cozy stays with a view of distant hills and for some the trekking, the times you stayed in camps and the stops you made at the view points for the pahard wali maggi. Once you have been to Kasol, you can't stop yourself from going back again. Kasol is the heart of Parvati Valley and a gateway to number of Treks.
For one such calling, I visited kasol in June, 2019. Apart from the rain, every season seems to be an ideal time to visit, although the winter might be a bit harsh for some who are not used to it. I stayed at Moksha Riverside Camping, a perfect gem at the banks of Parvati Valley. This place is perfect even if you are going solo or with a group of friends.

I wouldn't say this place gives you an authentic Riverside camping experience but it gives exactly what you need. The tents are huge with proper king size beds, grounds covered with artificial grass, the lights are covered with cellophane, a few tents even had neon paintings and a window which opens up to a view of snow covered mountains. The riverside is also a perfect place for bonfires, events and parties.
The camps are a 1 km trek from Kasol towards Manikaran. It's away from the noise and takes you right into nature's cradle. The only sound you hear is the sound of Parvati river flowing and birds chirping.
The location really gets most of the credits for the ambiance. The owner of the resort is quite friendly and a perfect host. He used to take us out to a few cafes and chill with us.
