I was so pumped up to try out a bike tour when my friend briefed me on his bike trip to Sikkim. I have been looking for an opportunity to try it out myself but due to my busy schedule was not able to try it. I was so fortunate when my friend told me he is going for another tour and this time, it is not far from home. I was skeptical first but I then joined him on the trip. We then booked our name for this tour.
Once we drove to the Sikkim, I was amazed by what I saw as I did not expect to see mesmerizing landscapes of the place. The scenery of the state was so enthralling which makes me motivated to experience more of the scenery. We then lodged into a hotel because we got to the state late and we are going to start our tour early the next morning. In the morning, my friend and I had our breakfast, we joined the team at our rendezvous point at the stipulated time.
We then start the tour as the team wants us to be in the right mindset for the trip ahead. We rent a bike from the tour agency and then ride on the road where I was entertained with the changing in the scenery of the road as we ride on. We got to Gangtok before lunch and we had a traditional meal while our bike permits were then processed by the authority while we had a deserving break.
After taking breakfast in the morning, our permits are ready. We then ride to forward to the hilly curves that pass through the Yumthang. The place is filled with lots of exciting flora and fauna diversity that I took my time to explore on the way. We then ride to the magnificent waterfall that blows my mind before we then proceed to the K2 Peak. On the third day, I got to experience a dramatic change in scenery as the road changes from lush green to flower valley till we get to the last point on the Indo-China border. We then explore the zero point and got the chance to take some magnificent pictures which I used for bragging to my friends at home. We then took a cup of fresh tea while we then returned to Lachen for the night.
While riding to Gangtok, we had multiple stops on the way where I got to enjoy stunning views and also take some scenic pictures of the landmark. In Gangtok, we then had our lunch and while away the time by exploring all that the city has to offer. While we are relaxing, the team is working on getting our permits ready so that we can continue our bike trip to Eastern Sikkim.
On the next day, we had to wake earlier so that the tour groups will be able to take pictures on the way because of the long hours of riding on the road. We then continued the trip to the most popular sight of India China border called the Nathula Pass. We then ride to Padmachey where I get magnificent views of Mount Kanchenjunga before we then ride on the popular hairpin turns of Zuluk which gives me nerve-wracking experience.
Once we reach Padmachen, we then start to ride back to Siliguri while we just enjoy the interesting scenery the road slowly changes with the region. The ride trip was so tiring and eventful which leaves me tired while I relax in the hotel for the evening. Our bike trip then came to an end the next day while we say our goodbye while I was still trying to put all the amazing pictures that we took together. I really enjoyed myself on the tour as it is filled with lots of thrilling activities and mind-blowing sceneries. I was already planning to come here even before I left Siliguri from my hometown due to its picturesque landscapes.
