Day 1

A sudden plan to travel to Phuket, happened when i was just scrolling through the flight apps (My usual time pass) and found the tickets very cheap. Just SGD 8O for return flight. Actually it was only SGD 55 when I first saw the next day increased a bit. No more wasting time or money I booked my flight right away. I have already been to Phuket and visited most of the islands & attractions. So, decided to change theme to ride a super-bike around the island. Its been in my mind when I visited previously seeing others ride. And i'm bike enthusiast myself. Took the flight from the world's number 1 airport.

Reached Phuket in the evening and took a van transfer (just 200 THB) to my hostel in Patong. Lub d Patong hostel is a great place with many activities, very neat and good vibe around. A glass pool in a hostel it was a bonus. Did a walking tour of the Patong i was familiar with the roads already. Mandatory Tom Yam dinner and a good sleep.

Day 2

Free basic breakfast at the hostel and went for a super bike hunt. Searching the internet took me to a place where there was a restaurant actually didn't even enquire as there was no bike seen around. Another shop which was little far to walk but i decided to do so. On the way to that shop found another shop having the same exact YAMAHA YZF R6 I was looking for, went inside to ask for the rental price and he said bit cheaper than the other. But then I negotiated & got a good deal for two days rental. To rent a super-bike is like renting any other normal scooters there but be careful in checking the bike for any damages or even small scratches before taking them out, because anything after that will be costing you more than the whole trip. This incident happened in front of my own eyes. A Russian guy who was returning the R6 bike dropped it while parking and they were charging him like THB 12k for minor scratches. I told him to negotiate but don't know what happened afterwards. I just took a step back seeing this but took my gut to rent it anyway. You either deposit a huge amount or your passport, and of course passport was the only worth able thing I had. Speak to them nice and you'll get over it. Even they are investing a lot in bikes and risking it with unknown people. A true biker will understand. I'm used to riding super bikes so I was ready and this was the only plan of the trip.

Took the bike to my hostel glad it had a secured parking. Geared up ( Safety first) no actual plan and it was getting dark too. So, I just googled for a highway to the north of Island and it was a fantastic highway. 6 way road with center and side blockades. What a machine it was never had the confident like this in a super bike before. It has become from my favorite to dream bike to own. While on return I slow down to feel the bike and its features. Back to the crib like a star super tired. Again same TOM YUM dinner and walk to the party district and slept like achieved something.

Day 3

It was a very hot day. One short ride within the area got the bike heated up and my leg was burning. An idea for me to exchange the bike with another one. When to the rental shop and saw this Super scooter Yamaha T-MAX SX asked him friendly and he said alright but the fuel he can't exchange from R6 instead I have fuel up again for the T-MAX, matter of few hundred THB I gladly said ok and took it out. Always video record the whole bike before to ride away in front of them. So, any issue afterwards can be verified.

Another 500cc scooter never rode anything like that before. This monster scooter had all that comfy and power, I was actually afraid to ride it then the R6. Went to Chalong Temple, Rang Hills (the scooter had a hill parking brake to my surprise) a few left over spots in Phuket. Just rode long Kata beach, Karon beach and city center. Now I wont be lost in Phuket anymore I was so familiar with the routes. Reached back to the rental shop, handed over the bike a through check by them and he returned my passport happily. Leaving the beautiful island with full satisfaction of the trip. Hit me up for more information on the rental shop, rental price & other guide. If you wishlist then definitely talk to me. Happy Travelling. Cheers.
