Itinerary for a trip in Pondicherry – The French Capital of India!
Day 1 – Arrive at Chennai Airport and reach the CMBT bus stand to catch your next bus to Pondicherry. The bus will take somewhere approx. 3.5 – 4 hours to reach Pondicherry, depending on the traffic situation.
Note: Beware of the scammers at the Chennai Int. Airport!
Day 2 – Plan a trip to Mantrimandir, explore the Auroville town & everything it has to offer. Next, hop on to some of the perkiest cafes and pizzerias to tickle your tastebuds.
Day 3 – Plan a day trip to Mahabalipuram.
Day 4 – Explore Pondicherry’s famous whitetown, sample a few French delicacies or spend the day at leisure.
Day 5 – Pack your bags & catch a bus back to Chennai Airport/railway station.
Enjoy nature and a cool breeze? Then, remember to get on a bus that takes you through the ECR road. It’s a bit scenic route and I bet you’d enjoy the bus ride to Pondicherry despite, the long journey.
