Day 7

So on day 7 the group was scheduled to move from Hunder in Nubra valley to Pangong Tso.  Day started with the boys getting up early in the morning to get some early morning clicks in the White cold desert of Nubra and Pictures of double hump back camel found in this part of the world and me cozily sleeping in my as I am not one of those early risers. So post coming back from the photo shoot and than after having good breakfast we move from Hunder towards our next destination which was Pangong Tso lake. Had already briefed the boys about the terrain through which we were suppose to go which was a mix n match of barren hilly terrains,  tarred roads, off-roads and through some water crossings as per my previous stint to this route in my 2017 maiden trip to Leh-Ladakh. But to my and the groups surprise the whole stretch of around 180kms is now tarred for almost 90℅ of the route hardly there were patches of rough roads all thanks to the relentless road laying work been taken care of the Border roads organization ( BRO) because when I had come here the last time the terrain was much more worse and we had to go thru lot off-roading and pass some bar patches right in the middle of the road and all of a sudden which kinda made the ride in 2017 a bit challenging as well. This patch of approximately 200kms was barely covered in 6 hours and mind me people who are aware of the terrain and think covering 200kms in 6hours is too much I must tell them one thing from one of the many boards put up throughout on this circuit by BRO that " That don't be a gama in the land of lama " Terrains like should be treated very safely and speeding should not be practiced as one may not what might happen when. As happened with of the group riders he was passing through a rough off road patch and he didn't notice the amount of sand in the patch and was in speed mijudged that portion and met with an accident miraculously nothing happened to him as he was wearing his riding safety gears but his bike suffered some damages. Got the bike set ourselves and than left for said destination before stopping at durbuk for short break and than passing through Tgantse for showing the permit papers before reaching the final destination Pangong Tso lake by 4:00pm. But before reaching our hotel ros we made sure to go to the lake and get some photo clicked which was a bit dampened because of a sudden dust storm which came all of a sudden as if it knew that we were coming there.
