While Himachal, Goa and Rajasthan are overcrowded for Mountains, Beaches and tradition, let's us explore these new places that deserves more tourist attraction and are ideal for a September vacation. So, ditch the usual tourist destinations and visit these spots for that ideal dreamy vacation with less crowd and a safer trip.

Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh -

The best time to visit Tawang is April to June or Sept to November.

The only way to reach this photographers paradise via Selapass which remains snow covered throughout the year.

Tawang is located at 3048 m, known for its Monasteries, picturesque landscapes, waterfalls, and spiritual significance. This town in North East offers everything a tourist expects. Be it the charm of nature, the beauty of the snow crispy mountains, monasteries, and sightseeing.

Let's deep dive into the major attractions of the Tawang district.

Sela Pass

Sela Pass is considered the lifeline of Arunachal Pradesh, and it is one of the Breathtaking landscapes of Himachal, and the Sela lake is as heavenly as it gets. It is 24 km from the city center.

Tawang Monastery

Tawang Monastery, also known as Golden Namgyal Lhatse, is an important itinerary one cannot miss. The Monastery is believed to be 400 years old. Apart from the history, it offers the view of the breathtaking landscapes of Tawang Chu Valley. This Monastery is India's largest Monastery and the second-largest Monastery in the world.

Nuranang Falls

The waterfalls are located 11 km from the city. Nuranang falls situated in one of the deep and the virgin forest called Nuranang forest. The scenery around covered the lush green hills. You can visit the Hydel plant at the falls, which generates electricity for the nearby areas from the force of the waterfalls.

Gorichen Peak

It is the highest peak of Arunachal Pradesh and is located 22,500 feet above sea level. The mountain is approximately 164 km from Tawang and is considered the best trekking and mountaineering spot.

Other tourist Attractions are P.T.Tso Lake, Sangetser Lake, Banggachang Lake, Tawang War Memorial, and River rafting in Kameng River.

Note - The state is now accepting visitors from outside the state as per the SOP laid out by the govt. of Arunachal Pradesh.

Dzukou Valley in Nagaland

The best time to visit this place is end of June till September.

Dzukou Village is located in the North East States, Nalagand, and Manipur and is also known for the adventure sports in the Kohima, Nagaland.

Dzukou Valley is affluent with lush green and thick vegetation, which offers one of the most mesmerizing treks with the backdrop of snow-clad Himalayas.

Japfu Village

The Japfu Village is one of the essential travel attractions in Nagaland. The village is referred to as Switzerland of the East. Trekking and Camping are the best things to do here.

The entire Japfu Peak is similar to a canvas of emeralds interlocked with the adjoining villages and cities – the view from a significant height is worth capturing for all nature lovers. The valley provides the view blooming with flowers.

Visit the Kohima War Cemetry

If history and wars are something that interests you, this place can be on your itinerary list.

Popularly remembered as the 'Stalingrad of the East,' the battle of Kohima was fought from April 4 to June 22 in 1944. The cemetery is nestled on Garrison Hill and offers a gorgeous panoramic view of Kohima. The cemetery's top also houses a dome-like memorial raised to honor the 917 Hindu and Sikh soldiers who lost their lives in the battle and were cremated according to their faith. A visit to the cemetery leaves visitors fascinated by the courageous tales of the martyrs who rest here.

The valley gives you handicraft stores where tourists can collect local souvenirs as reminders of their trip to Nagaland.

Other Tourist Attractions are - Heritage DC Bungalow, and Touphema village. Experience the botanical beauty with Lillies, Tulips, and plant species of a wide range of colors.

Pelling in Sikkim

The best time to experience the Beauty of Kanchenjunga is March to November

Known for the Kanchenjunga mountains, the Kanchenjunga falls, and the beauty of nature and Mother India, it resides mainly in the hands of Sikkim.

Pelling also has sites for Mountain biking, rock climbing, treks and meditation, and village tours.

Glass Sky Walk

Yes, In India also, we can now experience the glass Skywalk.

A wonderful desi glass skywalk has been made in Sikkim's Pelling. The skywalk in Pelling is located opposite the 137 ft tall statue of Chenrezig, amidst the magnificent Himalayas.

Monasteries

One of the essential attractions in Sikkim, Sangachoeling Monastery, is the oldest Monastery in Sikkim and a critical Buddhist shrine in the region.

Located right opposite Sangachoeling Monastery, Pemayangtse Monastery is another equally important Buddhist shrine in Pelling. It is an old monastery that has been standing tall since 1705

Featuring a lovely location between Rathong chu and the Rangeet River, Tashiding monastery is one of the holiest pilgrimage spots in Sikkim.

YukSom

This small town offers the tourist industry a wide range of Itineraries and includes rappelling, climbing, trekking, and some beautiful sightseeing and Monasteries. The waterfalls of the Yuksom village are worth a visit and cannot be missed in a lifetime.

The beauty of the village is enhanced and makes it the most attractive tourist place are the famous Kanchenjunga falls, the Phamrong falls and Rimbi waterfalls.

SingShore Bridge

Singshore Bridge is the most fantastic place one must visit in a lifetime. Like, ever in Life, if we have a place like this Bridge and a room to stay, it is THE happiness.

SingShore Bridge is the second-longest expansion Bridge of Asia. A deep gorge spreads out underneath the Bridge, and tall mountains tower above it. The entire setting is one worthy of inspiring awe and wonder into the individual. No Vehicles are allowed here on the Bridge.

Mawlynnong - in Meghalaya

Referred to as the Cleanest Village in India and Asia, Mawlynnong is God's own Garden.

The village does not offer the famous hotspots of the Meghalaya but let's get into the details of the itineraries.

Sky View -

It is a vantage point and a popular attraction of Mawlynnong Village. This viewing tower is 85 feet high and is made of bamboo. Once you reach the top, you'll be overwhelmed with breathtaking views. And since the village lies on the Indo-Bangladesh border, you'll be able to see the landscape of Bangladesh as well.

Nohwet Living root bridge

This village has the most famous icon of Meghalaya is found here – the Nohwet Living Root Bridge. The Bridge was created by weaving the roots of the Ficus Elastica tree around a framework and continuing this process for generations.

These fascinating bridges are built in harmony with nature and get stronger as they grow older. After admiring the Bridge, you can also take a dip in the gushing, calm waters of the river.

Kaas Plateau Maharashtra

The best timing to visit the Kaas plateau is in the Month of September or early October.

Kaas has more than 850 different species of flowering plants. These include orchids, shrubs such as the Karvy, and carnivorous plants such as Drosera Indica.

Kaas Plateau was declared as UNESCO World Heritage sites in 2012, and it is a magical place located with Tulips, Lakes and awesome landscapes.

Visiting details for Kaas Valley can be summarised as follows:-

Weekdays: INR 50 (for visitors above 12 years of age)

Weekends/ Government Holidays: INR 100 for three years (for visitors above 12 years of age)

Senior Citizens: Free, Government ID proof required as proof of age

Parking is free and only 3,000 guests are allowed per day

Kaas Lake

Kaas Lake is the main tourist attraction which is nearby to the Kaas Plateau and below are the details are to be considered.

Location: Kaas Lake, Satara, Maharashtra.

Timings: 9 AM to 7 PM

Entry fee: INR 100 per person.

Vajrai Waterfall

The height of this waterfall is 1840 feet (560 meters). The waterfall, which falls in three stages. This waterfall is located near the Satara district and it has become the famous India's one of the highest waterfalls of India.

The footpath passing through the lush green forest, clear air, and panoramic scenery in the rainy season attract the tourists.

Bamnoli

Bamnoli is a village located 15kms from the Kaas Plateau on the Banks of Shivsagar lake. Over the past few years, boating has been the main attraction of Bamnoli Village. One can go for a boat ride from Shivsagar Lake to Koyna Backwaters at Tapola, known as Mini Kashmir.

Note - While Kaas Plateau is open for visitors since 1st September, make sure the given guidelines are followed.
