So to start with, lemme tell you about the trek first. This is considered to be an easy trek which can be completed in more or less 4 and half hour (To & Fro)
The Korigad Fort is located about 20 kms South of lonavala, the best thing about this fort is it can be visited any time of the year. The lush green scenic views is a treat to your eyes.
We drove all the way from Navi Mumbai to Lonavla, as we planned this trek on a weekend we had to face the terrible traffic in Lonavala. So we reached there at around 11:00 AM and started the trek immediately without any further delay.
I being a monsoon person plan every trek in monsoons, its a lot more fun! So we were having a bit of a photography while en route, it started showering and it didn't stop till we reached the top. As said earlier its a pretty easy trek we reached the top in less than 2 hours,admiring the beautiful scenes and there's also stairs which you find in between which looks cool in moonsoon with the water flowing.
The top of the peak had a lake, we wandered all around, sat there for some time, there's a Hanuman Temple which can be visited as well. We didn't have the best views from the top as it was too foggy. So after spending some time out there we found stalls which served tea, corn bhajis (must haves), bhajis. After treating our stomachs we started our descend and reached down within an hour and half.
