Sounds scaringly exciting, right? And let us warn you - it is not a fantasy but a reality that will happen in LIMF 2023!
That is exactly what some of the most beautiful and influential women in the world will do at the Ladakh International Fashion Runway, a unique and unprecedented event that will take place at Umling La, the world’s highest motorable pass at 19,022 ft.
The event is part of the Ladakh International Music Festival (LIMF) 2023, featuring musical performances, cultural activities and community engagement. The fashion show will also have women leaders from G20 countries, guest countries, and Miss Universes, Worlds and Earths, who will promote empowerment, peace and friendship through their stunning outfits and inspiring messages.
Meet The Models
Some of the models who will be walking their magic on the runway in LIMF 2023 are the gorgeous Vanshika Parmar, Miss Earth from India; the stunning Giulia Ragazzini, Miss Earth from Italy; the radiant Lindsey Coffey, Miss Earth from USA; the charming Yuumi Kato, Miss Universe from Japan; the elegant Luissa Burton, Miss Earth from United Kingdom; the graceful Annabella Fleck, Miss Earth from Germany; the beautiful Rafah Nanjeba Torsa, Miss World from Bangladesh and many more!
A Symbol of Unity and Harmony
The fashion show is a spectacle of beauty and glamour and a symbol of unity and harmony among nations. Each model will bring half a kilo of sand from their respective country. After the event, they will mix the sand with concrete and put it into a creative mould of ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ (A Monument), One Earth-One Family-One Future at the highest altitude road in the world. This will echo the spirit of the G20 summit and celebrate India’s role as a global leader. The event is also an official attempt to enter the Guinness World Book of Records for hosting the highest fashion show ever.
A Celebration of Art, Culture and Community
The Ladakh International Fashion Runway is a collaboration between the Indian Army, the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) and the Ladakh Art and Entertainment Alliance (LAEA), which annually organises the LIMF. The LAEA promotes art, culture and community in Ladakh and beyond by bringing national and international artists and performers together. The LIMF 2023 will also feature a Rezangla Anthem, created last year, to honour the brave soldiers who fought in the Rezangla battle during the 1962 war with China. The anthem will be performed live at the Rezangla Memorial and captured in the metaverse format.
