I am staying in Gujarat from several months and exploring a great beauty of these adoring beaches. How to Get There –

By Road: Private and state transport buses are connected to Ahmedpur-Mandvi with various cities of Gujarat. If you have your own four-wheeler, it is just about 350km from Ahmedabad.

By Rail: Delvada railway station is around 5km from this tourist destination. It is not well-connected by rail. Only one passenger train is available from Junagadh to Delvada, and one from Veraval.

This beach is the only place in India which is as haunted as beautiful, located in Surat and naturally covered by mysterious black sand. Visitors feel anxious during night time and the reason might be a crematorium that ain't very far from the beach. Look, this story is already well-traveled. You have to explore to make your story with some experiences.

Dumas Beach - A Haunted Tourist Attraction

Tourists from different places as well as locals often choose this sandy spot for bumming around and taste the Lashkari Tomato Bhajiya. If you are going for peace, avoid on weekends.

About 2km away from Dumas beach, Royal Bawarchi Restaurant has a nice ambience that offers North Indian & Chinese foods. A bit costly but you will feel comfort and taste there.

How to Get There -

By Road: Surat is 250km far from Ahmedabad, 1160km from Delhi, and 285km from Mumbai. Private and ST buses are available from Ahmedabad to get there.

By Rail: A great number of trains (more than 100) are on the track to reach Surat from Ahmedabad, and more than 20 and 70 trains from Delhi and Mumbai.

By Air: Various domestic flights connecting metro cities are functioning from the Surat Airport.

If you are searching for something unexplored and want to listen seashore waves under a series of palm trees, Nargol beach may be a right choice. You can get lost in the solace while swaying in the sea breeze and making the entire surroundings a paradise.

One of the prettiest beaches in India, Mandvi beach is situated in Kutch district of Gujarat. Trust me, you would rank as best if you plan to enjoy a sunset there.

One of my friends recommended this restaurant. And trust me, this small eatery offers a long list of dishes which is well worth it. Just a walking distance (around 2km) from Mandvi beach, this restaurant is located opposite Shree Swami Narayan Temple, an extremely beautiful and must-visit place.

How to Get There –

By Road: State transport buses and various types of private vehicles including jeeps depart from Bhuj to near Mandvi beach that takes more than 1 hour. Jeeps can be hired in town for local excursions.

By Rail: You can go Mandvi beach from Bhuj Railway Station that is around 70km.

By Air: Nearest airport to Mandvi beach is Rudra Mata Airport in Bhuj, just around 65km away.

This fine sand beach is famous for its world-famous attraction - The Somnath Temple, a pilgrimage site. The Somnath is first among the 12 Aadi Jyotirlings of India. It is located on the western coast of India. This holy place of Mahadev and its sacred soil where from Lord Krishna took his last journey to his neejdham.

I think nobody first plans for Somnath beach, people from all over the country decide to visit Somnath Temple and glimpse of thunderous waves at Somnath beach.

How to Get There –

By Road: ST buses and private luxury buses regularly run from other cities to Somnath. This place is well-connected by a road network to the other places like Ahmedabad 400km, Rajkot 200km, Mumbai 900km and Porbandar 120km and so on.

By Rail: The nearest railway station Veraval is around 7km, which is well-connected to Ahmedabad and other major cities in Gujarat.

By Air: The nearest airport from is Keshod that is 55 km away from Somnath Temple and only connected to Mumbai. Another is Diu Airport about 80km away which has easily connectivity to Delhi and Mumbai.

This tourist spot is very famous for its historical importance because the famous ‘Dandi Yatra’ was commenced in Surat by Mahatma Gandhi in 1930. If you are a true follower of Gandhiji, I am surprised to know that you have not been there to see and feel the glorious pages in our country’s history.

Porbandar is the birth place of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. It is also known for the place of Sudama aka the friend of Lord Krishna in Hinduism. Porbandar has a beautiful beach named Chowpati beach - one of the cleanest beaches in coastal Gujarat. Not only is this beach attractive while the whole city pervades a complete pack of sightseeing.

Nearby tourist attractions include a popular Kirti Temple, also known as Temple of Fame has been converted into a museum.

Not so far from Porbandar beach, this comfortable and pleasant restaurant offers Chinese, Punjabi & South Indian cuisines. This eatery is a combination of reasonableness, comfortability and taste.

How to Get There –

By Road: State transport and AC-sleeper / luxury buses reach to Porbandar from Ahmedabad in 7 to 8 hours at maximum Rs.400 only. Porbandar is also connected to Rajkot about 180km via NH27.

By Rail: Porbandar has a railway station which has connectivity to almost all the major cities nearby. A couple of trains reach here from Ahmedabad take around 10 hours.

By Air: There are regular flights from several cities in India to Porbandar Airport.

Situated on the coastline of Valsad, Tithal beach calls tourists as well as locals for its fantasy. It might be crowded on every weekend because people don't want to miss a winsome sunset. Plan a journey to slow you down that may paint a very memorable picture few years down the line.

About 3.5km away from Tithal beach, Madhuli has been decorated creatively. It offers good food at a very reasonable price. First we eat then we do everything else.

How to Get There –

A surpassing spot, Madhavpur beach is a perfect place for holidaymakers and vacationers who want to capture high tides. The beach is a well-endowed with the stalls of coconut water and offers decorated camel rides. You also can buy sea things there.

A number of small restaurants and tea stalls are located nearby where you can have some oily food at low prices. Believe me, if you go there you won't be make yourself ready to go back home. Madhavpur also has one of the meditation centers of Osho.

How to Get There –

By Road: Madhavpur beach is hardly around 60km from the birthplace of Mahatma Gandhi and you will go through all the windmills on the left side and sound of the gentle wash of the waves from right. You can get an ST bus from Porbandar bus station to reach this beautiful destination.

By Rail: There is no railway station nearby. You can reach Porbandar and get a cab or bus to reach there. I recommend you to explore this beach on the same day you visited Porbandar.

By Air: Porbandar Airport is nearest to Madhavpur that is around 65 km.

The Hindu pilgrimage site, Dwarka is well-known about by many people from most parts of the world and top-notch tourist destination in Gujarat where you will see a serene face of Gujarat.

Tourists exclusively come here to visit an architecturally designed The Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as The Jagat Mandir. It has some fine spectacular beaches crowded by pilgrims. Almost all the beaches are always breathtaking but this one is surely special surrounded by the presence of God.

Just a walking distance away from Dwarkadhish Temple, this restaurant will tell you what does the real taste means. Go and have something delicious.

How to Get There –

By Road: Regular buses from Ahmedabad, Rajkot, Vadodara and Somnath, and from many other metro cities are available to go Dwarka Temple. A state highway with Jamnagar and Okha also connects the temple.

By Rail: Dwarka is a railway station on the Ahmedabad-Okha line, with several trains connecting to Jamnagar, Surat, Rajkot, and Ahmedabad and Mumbai as well. Only one train is available directly from Delhi so you have to book your tickets too early.

By Air: Jamnagar Airport (JGA) and Porbandar Airport are at the convenient distances of 140km and 110km respectively. You can book a cab to the point where you will receive the blessings of Lord Krishna in Dwarkadhish Temple.

Someone said perfectly right that there is nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away. Beach means a place of relaxation, rest, and tranquility.
