Tungnath is one of the highest Shiva temples in the world and is the highest of the five Panch Kedar temples located in the mountain range of Tunganath in Rudraprayag district, in the Indian state of Uttarakhand. The Tunganath (Lord of the peaks) mountains form the Mandakini and Alaknanda river valleys.
For the first time we decided to book a cab for our journey, so that we can enjoy fully.
We were 5 friends (Golu, Srinu, Rohit, Goutham & I). In the midnight of 28th December, we left from Ghaziabad towards our destination to celebrate New Year 2020, i.e. Chopta.

We crossed Rishikesh at around 6:00 AM
At around 7:30 we were at Devprayag. We stopped at Sangam point. Alaknanda and Bhagirathi rivers merge at Devprayag. Now the river is known as Ganga.

After we had breakfast, we started our journey again.
We covered Nandaprayag, Gopeshwar, Mandal and then reached our destination.
after traveling for 4 hours, we reached our destination, i.e. Mountain delight camps.
The camps are located at around 300 meters away from the main road, and also we have to park our car on the main road as there is no route for the car towards the camps. So we took our bags and starts trekking towards the camps.
The View from the camps was mesmerizing. The snow was everywhere.
As we all were tired a lot, we decided to take rest for the day and start trekking to Tungnath temple on the next day.
After we had lunch in the dining area, we took rest for almost around 3 hours. We woke up in the evening at around 7 PM, took some pics and had dinner.
As the temperature was below 0 degrees, we plan to play cards or other games inside the camp.

Everyone slipped in the return trekking except Golu. One thing we all noticed that the trekking boots by Decathlon are very slippery. Almost 90% of the guys who wore the boots by Decathlon, slipped.
