(DooarsIt was raining when we got down from the train at Alipurduar Jn. It was expected and we wanted to avoid the unnecessay tourist crowd. We took a local conveyance to reach Santalabari inside Buxa Tiger Reserve ( no tigers please, if you are lucky enough you might see a leopard, and plenty of wild elephants ). Hired a local guide and started our 5km trek after gulping down the lovely local veg momo. the day went uneventful as views was restricted by the clouds other than our accomodation, it was a two storeyd wooden house, my first experience.
The next day we woke up in the midst of a golden morning. I m not good with words, I will let my snaps do the talking. The view was much above our expectation and we returned the next day promising us and the home-stay owner that we would be back during their Losar festival.
