There are many hill stations situated near Bangalore and I have visited most of those. Among those I found a very cute small hill station, which is very close to Bangalore and it is Horesly Hills.
It is situated in the Annamayya district of Andra Pradesh state and around 130 KM from Bangalore. This is a great place for a day outing or even a night stay as well.
The road from Bangalore to Horesly Hills is really good. You need to drive through multiple towns and villages. It may take around 3 hrs to reach there.
Once we reached there, we found a very pleasant weather over there. We parked the car and started exploring the places. It is really a very small hill station and you can cover everything by walking after you park your car. We went to a few of the view points from where you can see the hiils, valley very nicely. I heard that the sunrise from Horesly Hiils is very beautiful but you need to stay overnight. As we went only for a day outing we missed that.
There are few hotels and restaurants in Horsley Hills. We had our lunch at AP Government restaurant. Post that we roamed around the area. We visited Horesly Hill Zoo after that. It is a very small zoo with deer, crocodile, peacock, and few other birds. The best part of the zoo is you can buy some food from the zoo to feed the animals. Kids would enjoy that a lot.
There are some sports zone with many activities where you can pay and enjoy the adventure activities.
We are done with our day trip by 4.30 afternoon and started for Bangalore. It was a very nice relaxing day outing and I would definitely recommend to visit this small hill station to spend a good weekend either a day trip or a night stay.
