Located in Assam surrounded by Eastern Himalayas the best time to visit is between November to April. Being a biosphere reserve, tiger reserve you get to see lot of wild animals and if lucky you get to spot Royal Bengal tiger too. There is an entry fee to enter this park and you can contact Bansbari Range office for more details regarding the park. Besides jeep safari, elephant safari is something you could try along with plantations visit and river rafting based on your travel plans. To reach this park there are flights till Guwahati and then you need to take a bus or a cab to Bansbari. 2 to 3 days is much needed to explore that whole park along with surroundings.

Hi sushmita, if you are a snow lover than you should go for GULMARG. If you are nature lover and want peace and calmness than PAHALGAM. Both the places have their own charm. If you are going for gulmarg, than do book gandola tickets for phase 1 and phase 2 necessarily online as you will find snow in phase 2 only..

Snow jackets and boots are not required. You may barely find too much snow. But do carry jackets for winds and rain. Slight wind can be a muddy storm.
upvoteUpvotemessageComment
