10 Events in December That You Must Attend for Goa Pride 2022 As an LGBTQIA+ Ally

Tripoto

Goa is synonymous to liberty, fun and freedom in India, a place where people come to shed off their everyday roles and have some days of uninhibited enjoyment. Folks of the Indian queer community, though summoning a much stronger voice than ever before, find themselves to be wary and watchful of their surroundings most of the times. Hence it was imperative that they were provided safe spaces to be themselves and live life carefree. The Goa Pride 2022 aims at empowering the LGBTQIA+ community in India by providing them not just the much needed safe spaces to let loose but also multiple platforms to express themselves.

These are 10 queer-friendly events in Goa in December 2022 that you may attend as an ally or a proud member of the queer community:

Where:

The artist works predominantly with sound - composing improvisational sonic experiences which are inspired by nature. Using ancient and indigenous instruments like didgeridoo, mouth harps and flutes, he creates soundscapes which are primordial and immersive. He has been doing live improvisational sonic/sound mapping for performance artworks and for animated movies, music videos and short films as well.

Adventure Hippie invites you to embark on the journey of Self Love through the sonic experience he intends to create for you. He hopes that you will sonically map his journey by making art while he performs.

You are expected to bring dry art materials (pencils, pastels, pens, markers, charcoal, etc.; paper will be provided) to map your experience.
