Do you ever dream of a place so beautiful that it leaves you speechless? Do you ever feel that place is calling you, silently? Well, I did and I finally had figured out the place of my dreams. The nostalgia was hitting me hard even before seeing the place as I knew the mountains were waiting to tell me endless stories and show some magnificent magic.
I packed my bags as the feeling completely took me in. Me along with a friend started our journey to this dreamland: Kheerganga.
Nestled in the lap of Parvati Valley, Kheerganga is a hidden gem.
We started our trek from Tosh towards Kheerganga while awaiting in the small beautiful village of Kalga. I was extremely surprised and overwhelmed to see such humble and nice people living out there in the village.
We unloaded our extra luggage at a cafe in Kalga, packed what we needed and started our journey to the dreamland.
The path was extremely beautiful, covered with tall trees and enticing waterfalls. We continued our hike for 3 hours and were extremely tired. A few steps later and we witnessed one of the most beautiful waterfalls here, which took away our pain in seconds. The place is so beautiful that you even forget what happiness is; you just experience blissfullness.
Having a cup of tea and a bowl of maggi to this view was beyond happiness. Rejuvinated by the view, we continued on our journey. We kept walking for another 2 hours and then finally reached a point where the magic happened.
It was about time for sunset as I saw the golden light peeking through the tall trees and the winds blowing faster. I knew, I was there and the magic show had just begun.
Walking a few steps further, I witnessed the place of my dreams presenting before me in the most magical way ever. I was truly speechless. The golden light peeking through the trees and decorating the rooftops, the endless green pastures protected by the mighty mountains and the pure smell of air was enough to make me happy. For the first time, I truly realized how it feels to be alive in the moment.
Sometimes nature amazes you in the ways you cannot even imagine. Right after reaching the place, before getting dark, we headed to the natural hot water springs here. The feeling of dipping your body into the hot waters in freezing cold after a tiring long trek is inexplicable.
Living here for 2 days made me realize how beautiful life is. Witnessing the small things like seeing the contrail of the jet planes leaving behind or the shephard taking a herd of sheeps felt extremely satisfying and huge. It taught me one of the most important lessons of life: Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart. And that was the moment I found myself.
I left the place with no sorrows in my soul as I had realized that magic has always existed in nature. There is something that happens within you when you witness such beautiful landscapes. The perfect mellow sun setting down in the lap of Parvati valley is nothing but a magic show which nature offers you. And the best part is, it's priceless.
