Day 2

Reached Guwahati railway station at 10:00 am in the morning. As it was a budget trip so we booked Railway Retiring room for Rupees 156/- per person for 24 hours. We avoided hotels as it's gonna cost at least 250-300 rupees per person.

In the afternoon we had our lunch at Jan Ahaar at railway station as it provides pretty good food at a cheap price than other restaurants near the station.
Then booked cab to visit the popular Kamakhya Temple. One can find auto rickshaw near the station but it cost almost double for the same trip, so we booked Uber as it's cheaper and more luxurious than auto rickshaw.

After visiting the Temple we booked another cab to return to the station. Then in the. Evening we had some snacks like the food stalls near the station cook good quality Momo/Dumpling at a reasonable price.

Then we returned to our Station retiring room and packed our bags for the next place to reach our destination.

We packed our dinner from a restaurant near the station and boarded on Nagaland express(15669) from Guwahati railway station at 11:25 pm and headed towards Dimapur railway station.

Day 3

We reached Dimapur railway station by 5:30 am in the morning and booked a regional taxi from the station to reach Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland. We booked the whole taxi Nd it costs 2100/- to reach kohima. From kohima we took another taxi to reach our homestay at Kigwema village. This taxi took Rupees 200/- per person. Finally we reached our homestay at 12:15 pm. It was a long journey from Dimapur railway station.

After reaching our homestay we had a good lunch and the visited a nearest viewpoint which was pretty mesmerizing. We roam there for almost 2 hours and visited the World War II memorial museum and other places and returned to our homestay at 4:30 in the evening.
At 5:30 pm we had snacks with tea at the Homestay and had a chilling evening with eye catching views from the homestay balcony.
At 8:30 we had our dinner. The food quality and quantity of the Homestay was as good as you are eating in your home. We discussed and gathered information about the trek route from the owner of the Homestay and slept for that day.

Day 4

In the morning we had some tea and  headed towards our destination Dzükou Valley.
From the Homestay a Sumo car picked up us and after filling details to the entry point of Dzükou Valley it took us to the trek point which was 16 km from the Homestay and it took 1 hour in total from the homestay.
At 9 am  se started trekking towards our final destination. It was pretty tough to trek up for first 1 hour then it feels easy as your body adjusted to the trek. From the trekking point it took 15 minutes to reach the staircase which will lead us to Dzùkou valley.

It took 2 hours to reach the Basecamp of Dzükou Valley through the staircases.

We took rest for 15 minutes there and started journey to the Dzükou Valley through the Never ending trails with mesmerizing views.

Reached the Valley top after 3 hour from the basecamp.

You will find mobile network till the basecamp, after that you won't be able to find mobile network.

After reaching the top we set up our tents. And had some rest.

We had dinner of normal veg meal up there which costs 200 per head.

Day 5

It was my birthday. So after 12:00 am my friends arranged a packet of cashew and put up a candle in it and celebrated my birthday up there.
It was my best birthday till now.

Wake up at 5:00 am to see the mesmerizing view of dawn but it was cloudy 😕.

We had cup noodles as our breakfast.

Just when we're starting to visit the valley the rain started. We've to delay our trekking.

At 12:00 pm  we started trekking down to the valley to explore it. The way to valley was quite slippery but somehow we managed to reach the valley . It was heavenly . No word is enough to tell the beauty of the valley. It took 2 hour to explore the valley and reached the valley at 4 pm.

We had cup noodles after reaching the valley top.

We made maggi noodle for dinner which we carried from kohima.

Day 6

We started trekking down at 7:00 am via Zakhama route. The route was pretty challenging and have at least 4-5 point where you have to be 100% confident to cross the point. You've to cross 2 Streams.

It took total of 5:30 hour to reach the Zakhama trek point where the car was waiting which will lead us to first our homestay and then to kohima city.
We had good lunch and refreshments at the Homestay. Then we headed towards kohima and from then we booked another taxi which will take us to Dimapur railway station.

We had train that night at 11:30 pm from Dimapur railway station to Guwahati railway station.
