Rote - The southest island of Indonesia

Tripoto
26th Aug 2015

This is the third times I came to this island.

Rote is the southest island in Indonesia. Small island with great scenery. Rote is half of my roots, and I am proud of it. The culture is so unique, their music is so pure, and the nature is so amazing.

You can get here by plane every tuesday, thursday, and saturday; and besides that you can get here by ferry every day.

You can rent a motorcycle or a car as your transportation while you are here. Here you cab find the one and only Sasando a traditional instrument  very unique and sounds amazing like harp. People here use tenun as their attire and so beautiful. But the most wonderful is the scenery, you can find savannah and wonderful beach. People come here to surf because Rote has a woderful big waves.

The hotel price is varies. You can find the local hotel (the cheapest) and beautiful villa along the beach.

I am so happy can be here again. I met my family and enjoy the nature.

Let's get lost
