They say Switzerland is everyone's dream, now I know why every one is so fascinated with the most beautiful place I got a chance to visit.
Today , we landed in Zurich after a long flight delay from Barcelona but I think God was preparing the best for us.
As soon as we landed in Zurich I fell in love with this city , it was super cold at 7.30 am in the morning. Today, we ( me and my wife) just thought to explore Zurich city more. After taking a rest in our beautiful room of Holiday Inn in Rumlang we decided to start for our day out in Zurich .
We were told about the Swiss Rail Network that it is one of the best in the world so we decided to explore Switzerland via train only.
So we took a train from Rumlang to Zurich which was just 10 mins from Rumlang.
As soon as we stepped out of the station, we fell in love with Zurich. There was a small canal at one side of the road In front of Zurich HB station, which made it very picturesque.
We walked across the streets to learn more about Zurich, all the biggest brands are available in Zurich. The city becomes lively in the evening and also becomes more beautiful at night with all the lights.
Do visit : Lake Zurich, it's beautiful.Also visit the famous Zurich bridge in the main city.
Today, we decided to visit Luzerne City, lake Luzerne and lion's monument
We started at 8 in the morning, the name of the tour was City Tours .The bus was waiting at the bus terminal near Zurich Station and our journey started exactly on time , both me and my wife were eagerly waiting to see what's in store for us today . As we heard , that Luzerne is so picturesque and beautiful that we will definitely fall in love and that's what happened with us .The beauty we saw during this tour was nothing short of a dream , we never thought that we will be so lucky to see the beautiful town from our own eyes.
After 1.5 hours we reached Luzerne , we stayed here for 1.5 hours and trust me when I say this this city is so so beautiful .
Do visit: The Famous Luzerne Chappel bridge right in the middle of city with flowers, swans all around the place and lots of restaurants and cafes all around. Do try chocolate brownie , you will never get to taste such a delicious and mouth watering brownie ever.
Also, do visit the lake Luzerne. You will never ever see such beautiful architectures and landscape both at the same place
Day 3 : We both were all set for our trip to Engelberg and the famous Mt.Titlis . It is situated at 11k feet and trust us when we say that you all will be mesmerized with the beauty of Mount Titlis as well as Engelberg.
It's a 2 hours bus journey from Zurich, so we booked a bus tour to Engelberg and then Mt. Titlis .
The road to Engelberg is mesmerising , greenery and greenery all over the place , lots of waterbodies and huge mountains on both sides of the road.
The bus tour was amazing, they took necessary stoppages to tell us more about the places and to click some pictures.
When we reached Engelberg we were all set for summit to Mt. Titlis. There are two stages to this summit, in first stage you will go via ropeway which can carry 5 to 6 people at one time and will take you first level of the Mt. Titlis.
At the second level, a humongous trolley cabin will be at your service which can take up to 70 to 80 people in one go and also it rotates to give a 360 degree view of the journey to Titlis and surroundings.
As expected we found lots of snow when we reached the summit , our dream came true of visiting Titlis. There is a huge place to dine at Titlis, a big big chocolate store from where you can buy lots of chocolates . You can expect a good Indian cuisine buffet at the top.
The Titlis trip we will always remember and share with our friends and families.
The last day of our trip to Switzerland, we decided to head towards to adventure capital of Switzerland, Interlaken and booked Skydiving for both of us.
We wanted to make our trip a bit adventurous and we always wanted to try our hands on Skydiving, so it came true in Switzerland.
We travelled to Interlaken via train , the trip comprises of lots of hills, beautiful houses on both sides of the rail tracks. But the main thing which took our breath away was Lake THUN.
Situated near to Interlaken , the lake is huge and runs pararelly with the rail tracks.
After few hours travel reached Interlaken, from where the skydiving was waiting for us to take us to skydiving location .
Our jaw came down, when they told us that they will be taking us to the highest point for skydiving which is 15000 feet.
We were so thrilled as well as nervous , our heartbeats started increasing. The plane started, we told ourselves that here it is, the activity which is famous for giving you an adrenaline rush and loads of excitement.
After 20 mins of airplane journey, the pilot announced that we are at 15000 feet are ready for the jump . The gates of the plane opened and the instructor told us to move forward at the edge of the gate and at the count of three we will jump. My heart was in my mouth , we were nervous are then i heard three and we jumped, yes jumped from the plane. It was a 55 second free fall jump and i cannot explain how much amazing it was , to feel the air , to see every one , every mountain below us and you going down and down watching the landscape in a different way which no bus tour, rail tour will be able to give you.
That feeling of going down and down is scary as well as heart pounding.
We landed safely to earth and yes we did it, Skydiving done. Yayyyy.
