Well finally, after the terrible semester exams, a break was mandatory. The best way to erase the memories of your horrendous exam papers is to hang out with friends. This was it. Destination Alibaug. Just 3 hours from Mumbai, it was no less than a Mini Goa for us. It has beautiful resorts, farms, temples, forts and beaches. You will be embraced with the white sand found in the beaches.

If water sports activities excite you, this place means heaven to you. The thrilling water sports activities and the green surroundings mesmerize you. The place is located at the heart of nature where one can witness and feel the beauty and understand nature communicating it's divine beauty. The best time to visit this place is during rainy season which makes the climate very humid. The brown soil or the mitti Ka khushboo is bliss. Rainbows add on to the beauty of this place. We stayed in the Prakriti resort which was very beautiful. Infact the resort looked so alluring that you just admire and enjoy the view of the pool and it's interior and the yummy sea food. We actually spent most of our time in the resort itself on the second day chilling in the pool with the mouth watering food.

Kashid beach is one such beautiful beach in Alibaug where you can swim, play and have fun. The beach has magical white sand which is not found in every other beach. You can take a nap or sit and enjoy the sea view by tying a net between two trees. Coconut tress makes you feel in Kerala. The coconut water is very yummy and sweet. The sunset is very pleasing to eyes and makes and vanishes all your stress. There are many stalls outside the beach and the panipuri here is very delicious. One can stay in cottages here which starts from 1000 rs. Don't miss the sea food and coastal cuisine here.

This beach will attract all the water lovers as many water sports activities can be done here. The beach is surrounded by coconut trees and flowers. The colorful butterflies creates an imagery of many colorful kites flying in the sky. You will be amazed by the variety of birds found here. Various kind of water sports activities including Banana boat ride which is connected to a Jetski and has the capacity of accommodating 8 people. The boat is similar in shape of a banana. Other activities like Paracilling and Bumper ride can also be done. It is really fun for people who enjoy speed.

The Janjira fort is 55 km from Alibaug and is almost 40 feet tall. The story behind it's construction is that a fisherman had built this fort to protect it from the pirates of the sea. There are various towers inside the fort where various guns are stored and at the entrance of the fort, there are splendid stone carving which is very catchy. As you move in, a small lake is found inside the fort which is very attractive.
