Alibaug has a good number of beaches and places that make it an absolute go-to place for a trip on a budget. This place has majestic forts as well as some sacred temples. The best thing about Alibaug beach is that you can enjoy a great view of Colaba fort while soaking in the sun. Take a short boat ride to the popular fort which gives a magnificent view. There are several other unexplored beaches along the coastline, which offer the ideal backdrop for your next facebook display picture. One can also visit the Ganesh temple which is almost 400 years old, laze around on a hammock, bathe in the sun, sip on coconut water and watch the beautiful sunset.

You can embark on various activities such as Segway Ride, water sports, swimming as well as camping. The windy route to Lavasa has small tea and snack stalls for quick breaks on the way. There are lovely waterfalls and lush greenery all around. Going back to the Maratha age, this hill-top fort gives an opportunity to trek to reach the top for mesmerising views. The trek to the fort is mostly straight up and rocky. Some notable attractions which you can see inside the fort are the Tanaji memorial, the tomb of Rajaram Chhatrapati, Kali temple, some military stables and a brewery. Tourists can visit this place between 9.00 am to 6.00 pm

Mahabaleshwar is a hill station located in the Western Ghats, in the Satara district of Maharashtra. It is known for strawberry farms, mulberries, numerous rivers and majestic peaks and is often referred to as the queen of hill stations in Maharashtra. This hill station attracts a large number of tourists for its lovely views, beautiful landscapes and pleasant temperatures. There are many tourist attractions like forts, temples, lakes, and many more. Pratapgarh fort, Venna lake, Mahabaleshwar temple, Mapro garden are some of the tourist spots. Mahabaleshwar has a moderate climate throughout the year and can be visited at any time of the year. However, the best time would be from June to October.

Panchgani is a popular hill station in Maharashtra and has derived its name from five hills surrounding it. This place is very famous for various sunrise and sunset points and the scenic valley views. What makes this place even more amazing is that it has hills on one side and coastal plains on the other side. The town has cool climate and offers many pleasant walks. Panchgani is an ideal getaway from Mumbai and Pune to find comfort and peace in the lap of nature. This place was discovered by the British superintendent John Chesson in the 1860's and hence this place has great british influence in terms of architecture. Other viewpoints are- Sydney point, Kate point, and Parsi point. Panchgani is also home to Kaas plateau, one of the UNESCO world natural heritage sites of India.

This place does not allow vehicles at all, so the moment you step here the cool breeze and fresh air devoid of pollution gives you a good reason to visit this place at least once. This place is famous for its viewpoints and has a total of 36 viewpoints. You can enjoy Echo point, Alexander Louisa point, Panorama point and Porcupine point to name a few. If you love trekking, you will definitely enjoy these easy trekking trails. Charlotte lake, close to Echo point, is a very popular picnic spot with locals as well as tourists.

Tamhini Ghat is a mountain passage that cuts across Sahydari range to join Pune and Konkan region. This place is known for its natural beauty–with high mountains, green valleys, lakes as well as waterfalls. The approach is one of the best parts of the trip and the 15 km stretch of the passage is great for camping as well as trekking. You can set up a camp and relax at the Mulshi Lake after you are done gazing or even bathing at the Tamhini waterfalls.
