Manali was a heavenly experience for me ! I and my Husband loves traveling so the best way to celebrate our anniversary was travel and this time it was Himalayas. We went Manali in Jan 2018 to experience most of snow. We took flight from Bangalore to Delhi. Delhi was foggy and we couldn't see anything outside window even after landing. We took HRSTC Volvo Bus to Manali, visibility was only 100 meters !! Though the bus journey was terrifying but all fear went off when we saw those big mountains covered in snow.
We stayed in Quality Inn & Suites River Country Resort. You can see River Beas from the window and breathtaking view of Hampta Pass. Resort has friendly staff and good food !
The day we reached, we went to Hidima Devi Temple.
Next day we went to Solang Valley and spent entire day. The view and experience was awesome. It was fully covered with snow, I haven't seen such a beautiful mountain ever before. You will get the best Maggie and Omlette there !!
For the first time I did some skiing and fell multiple times ! We also did couple tube ride ! You will get some best clicks here ! Rohtang is closed this part of year.
Third day, we planned for Naggar and Paragliding at Dobhi. Paragliding was a lifetime experience for me and an achievement too ! Dobhi paragliding makes you fall from 8000ft and the duration is more than 10minutes. So that makes Dobhi as highest and longest paragliding experience in Manali.
Naggar is a beautiful village and has a beautiful castle. It has a small restaurant on the top, don't forget to have Mushroom masala there !!
Last day was our anniversary, we spent our day by having lunch at Cafe 1947, it has amazing view and food. Post that, We came to Mall road, both the sides of the roads are full of shops. We could see different types of clothes, eatables, shoes, bags, decorative items. We did lot of shopping for friends and family !
After four days bliss, we came back to Bangalore but Manali and it's awesomeness is still in memory. It was one of the best experience, a place where you get lost in it's beauty !
