Recently I made my second visit to Cherapunjee (Meghalaya), trust me it has some the most beautiful places on earth. Be it Waterfalls, Caves or Treks, you would find everything here. All you need is time and patience to enjoy the beauty of nature.
Waterfalls like Wei sawdung, Rainbow falls, Krangsuri are place that should be in top of your checklist. Also theres a lot of place to Trek , like Nongriat, Bamboo trek, Nohkalikai falls trek etc etc.
Time around Diwali is best time to visit as there's not much rain and the water remain crystal clear.
Veg Food :
If you are vegeterian and have doubt that whether you would get veg food around or not then stop worrying, Orange roots on the way to Sohra and Ka bri war resort on the way to Shnongpdeng (Dawki) are stops for Veg foods, They even serve Jain food
