Hello Readers! Hope everyone of you is doing well and keeping safe. Hopefully, everything goes back to normal again and we do not have to worry about anything.
For now, while we are still waiting to travel freely, I would like to share my experience on how I was able to found the perfect cup of tea for myself.
Being a Gujju I am in an extramarital relationship with my Tea. Whenever I see a tea stall, I stop to taste the tea and with the first sip my mind responds 'Oh Yeah' or 'Oh No'. That is how my mind and body have started functioning.
I have traveled to many parts of the world and tasted different kinds of tea. To start with, I was in Paris and somebody told me that a bakery around the corner serves the best tea in Paris. And without thinking, I opted to go to the bakery rather than going to the Eiffel tower. It was a no-brainer decision for me. I know you are thinking that I am over exaggerating and to a certain extent I am. But trust me, it was a difficult decision for me to make :). I would say, the tea did not live up to my expectations and my mind started singing the famous Capone Song - Oh No, Oh No, Oh no no no no...
The other time I was in Jaipur and there was a huge crowd around a tea stall called "Bhai ji ki Chai" and I thought I may have found what I have been looking for all these years. So I decided to order it along with the famous 'Kanda (Onion) Kachori'. I must say, the Kachoris were Ooh La La! But the tea, Naaahhhh!
I have been to many other countries and I have been to many other parts of India, but my search was still on until the day I stopped at a tea stall just outside Hikkim - The place which is famous for the world's largest post office. If you are ever planning to visit Hikkim please stop by the tea stall which is just outside the village. It may not look fancy but I can tell you the view of the mountains surely compliments the best tea you can ever have! The picture below may not do justice to what I am trying to describe. But when I had the first sip, my mind started saying 'Oh Yeah', 'Oh Yeah', Oh Yeah'! And that day I knew that my quest was over.
I will certainly go back to Hikkim just to have my favorite cup of tea in this whole wide world. And if you ever get a chance to taste the tea at this tea stall, please have one on my behalf.
Will keep sharing more stories with you. Till then, keep traveling and keep exploring like a Tripster!
