Hawa Mahal: soon I was tramping in Jaipur's streets, from exploring their leather chappals to authentic dupattas, I arbitrary reached to my third destination Hawa Mahal, from where I could get the glance at whole Jaipur from those tiny tiny windows, I was actually feeling like a queen, peeking at pink city in Royal style.
Jal Mahal; Eid was around the corner and Jaipur's people were on Street, surrounded by enthusiastic people and camel rides it was my last destination for the day.
After a very exhausted day i came back to my hostel, that cozy room with warm bed, i ordered sandwich and french fries, probably the best fries i ever had or it was self satisfaction talking.
Jantar Mantar: what a brilliant brains out ancestors must have, I got to know about it by saying those amazing instruments of history in jantar Mantar and soon it was raining, Jaipur's weather was kind enough to glorify the tale.
City Palace: My first destination, a place that has kept every facet of Jaipur well preserved. From marwari Rajasthani attire to historical paintings telling the tales of rich culture of Jaipur. I got introduced to the most creative art form of Jaipur, some small yet magnificent paintings...
Within an hour I was back in my room, packed a bagpack , booked a ticket to Jaipur and within two hours I was in that bus heading to Jaipur and it was time for me to explore that destination unknown.
It was five hours journey from Gurgaon to Jaipur, around 12 i reached to Jaipur. I just didn't want to stop and explore as much as I can, I got down from bus, had an auto and left for my first destination city palace.
Yes tired, exhausted and yet in delight I almost forgot I have not eaten anything, and it was the time for me to explore some Sterling marwari food,. And by the recommendation of my auto wale Bhaiya I reached to that place named khandelwal rasoi, and had dal bati and gatte ki Sabji, what a soul fulling experience.
It was 6 in the evening and I forgot it is a random plan and a strange city and I don't have any place to stay so i started looking for a hotel and found this amazing royal hotel in Jaipur, I checked in but yet I was up for some more adventure so I left for my fourth destination
Gurgaon, 27th June 2017 standing on my terrace trying to get a glimpse of NH-8, a road leading to Jaipur, I thought why not I should take this road and travel somewhere to escape my chaos....!!
And I decided to go to Jaipur from Gurgaon, my first ever solo trip,
After having a peaceful sleep from a restless journey, I woke up at 5, had warm bath, got ready, clicked myself in delight and it was time for me to explore the royal history of Jaipur. I had all the three forts of Jaipur in my bucket list.
I ate my breakfast in hotel, called my auto wale Bhaiya and soon I was at road going towards Amer palace, soon I reached to Amer palace and I got my first gaze to Amer palace, a royal luxurious affair, that was clearly outshining from it's outer appearance, I also witnessed some peek of animals that plays vital role in glorifying the history of Jaipur, from elephant, peacocks, camels.
I got down from auto, grabbed some snacks and soon I was on a trail heading towards Amer fort, crossing their huge gates I made my ways in the palace in Royal style, and indeed it was the most exquisite thing I had visited in Rajasthan so far, having royal prominence like the 'Diwan-i-Aam', the 'Sheesh Mahal' and even the 'Sukh Mahal'. splendid interior work that is so perceptive. A massive palace on hills, from having gardens to spectacular views. A destination of dreams
After visiting Amer fort my next goal was to Jaigarh fort, that was on the hill above the Amer palace where weapons of wars like historical cannons, bullets and rifles were safeguarded. And also India's biggest Canon jaijavana Canon was kept, that was huge and heavy and the best antique any castle can have. I also met to a guy who came from Bangladesh and was a traveller, we exchanged some stories where he told me about his most adventurous experiences with the wildlife.
After visiting Jaigarh fort my next destination was Nahargarh Fort, which was the home of royal Queens and princess in the history, a well hidden yet beautiful design, A fort from where one can see the entire Jaipur city. I reached at rooftop of the Nahargarh fort and on the terrace and it started raining, I certainly can say I have witnessed heaven at earth when I reached there. The freedom in solitude and the best escape I could ever get.
Bystandering anything and everything, a moment I wanted to take on forever and ever.
The while enthralling experience of Jaipur I was capturing in that moment and it was time for me to go back but before leaving the city I wanted to take a glimpse of Raj mandir a place weirdly close to my heart due to some childhood memories I had connected with that place, I told the auto wale Bhaiya I don't wanna leave the city without taking the peek of this place, I reached there, I met a vendor on the street in front of Raj mandir, it was time for me to collect the souvenir from the journey, I bought the small peacocks from him, bought some Rajasthani sweets and it head back for the bus... I have already missed my bus but I managed to found other with the help of the auto wale Bhaiya and it was finally the time to bid the goodbye to Jaipur..... Hasta la Vista Jaipur till I see u next....!!!
The end of my first ever unplanned solo trip that turned out to be the most beautifully vulnerable experience of my life.
