To this beautiful day I experienced in Sikkim. When I was travelling through Sikkim a few years ago, I saw this board right outside Hanuman Temple near Gangtok. When we say borders, first thing that comes to our television-influenced minds is the heavy fencing, our bravehearts holding guns and guarding us. This memory is little different and one of the most cherished ones!

My heart was filled with joy of being in this beautiful state surrounded by the Himalayas, the lovely climate and its beautiful people.I was already so grateful as our soldiers protect us inspite of the difficult weather conditions. I was visiting this temple which was managed by a team of our breavehearts, I met one such kind soul. My heart was filled with gratitude as I was meeting so many soldiers, I struck a conversation with one. I thanked him from the bottom of my heart for his service to the country and shook hands with him. At the very moment, this gentleman smiled and I could see the contentment in his eyes as his service and efforts were being acknowledged by a random stranger from some corner of the country. Someone from one corner of country stationed at the borders and speaking of this great nation with pride with a fellow citizen. Such a joy!

What makes us standout from the rest of the world is our cultural diversity but what keeps all of us together is the Unity in our diversity. It is correctly said, you can take an Indian out of India but you cannot take India out of Indians! This picture stands tall and justified as this Idea of India is alive in the hearts of every single Indian anywhere in the world
