While most of the travelers visiting Chennai are interested in knowing how to spend 24/ 48 hours in the city, I wanted to look out for a place that is relatively centrally located so that I could explore the city's attractions as much as I can in three and half days with ease.

The Residency Towers Chennai, a 5-star hotel in the affluent neighborhood of T. Nagar looked like an excellent choice to stay. I stayed there for 3 nights, and can't stop gushing enough about the elegant hotel.

Frankly, Chennai's summer (particularly during the daytime) can be physically draining. The hot weather can even mentally exhaust you. Therefore, I highly recommend booking accommodation that is capable of uplifting your energy and mood the moment you enter. The Residency Towers Chennai does exactly that.

The reception area itself is like a breath of fresh air. I loved spending my time sitting on the sofas there.

Accommodation

Being an upscale hotel, The Residency Towers Chennai oozes such a luxurious charm, which makes up for the scorching heat that the guests go through while exploring Chennai during the daytime.

I had stayed in the premier room for 3 nights and loved every bit of my stay. The setting of the room was deluxe, with TOTO Neorest smart toilet being the highlight. That was quite an experience.

Amenities at The Residency Towers Chennai

The hotel has an indoor swimming pool that I loved. There is also a sizeable gym near the pool, and a spa to pamper yourself after an exhausting day. Fortunately, the spa and gym were operational, and I even had the chance to pamper myself with a relaxing foot massage.

Food

I have had the pleasure to stay in The Residency Towers Puducherry during the same trip, and hence, I had somewhere expected that the food would be flavorsome for sure. Moreover, it would be just a perfect blend of north and south Indian cuisine. And I was happy that I got proved right.

There are three main dining venues at The Residency Towers Chennai.

Main Street - The buffet breakfast, lunch, and dinner gets served here. The food is delicious and flavorful. However, I have to mention that the interiors of the hotel impressed me a little more than the food. The whole restaurant is themed around the streets of London, and it is a pure delight to sit and eat there.

Must try - Dal maharani, spring rolls, plum strudel, coconut jamun, and bread halwa. Also, they serve delish pancakes at the buffet breakfast.

The Crown - It is a fine dining rooftop restaurant, operational between 6 pm to 11:30 pm. I highly recommend booking your table well in advance if you want a table by the water body. The whole dinner experience is amazing.

Must try - Mix berries cheesecake

Bike and Barrel - It is a pub that has all the elements that make up for an exciting nightlife right at the comfort of your hotel. The pub also conducts these special nights like salsa night, Dj night, etc., during the weekends

Moreover, with the one-touch device, you would have the convenience to order food in the room.

Covid-19 Safety Measures

Safety, undoubtedly, is now going to be the primary parameter while choosing where to stay. Many of us have inhibitions running in our minds, which is justifiable. The Residency Towers Puducherry followed the safety measures like temperature check and self-declaration form for COVID 19 adequately. Moreover, the staff members wore the masks at all times without any fail.

Staying right in the posh center of a metro city like Chennai, and being able to explore the tourist attractions conveniently is an advantage that is worth exploiting.

Four reasons to book your stay at The Residency Towers Chennai are:

1. Located in the city center.

2. One-touch device to control everything from the comfort of your bed.

3. Rooftop restaurant and delicious food.

4. Luxury without burning a hole in your pocket
