We started from Bangalore airport at around midnight and reached Bangkok the capital city early in the morning. We had arranged for a transport right from the airport towards the city of Pattaya.
On reaching Pattaya, we checked-in to our hotel, Royal Cliff Beach Hotel in the afternoon. The hotel was fantastic with its Infinity pool, beach restaurants and sea facing rooms, we were already exited.
We relaxed for a while and roamed around the hotel campus and their private beach. We set out for a stroll and finally took a cab to reach the beach road of Pattaya. The beach view in the late evening is surreal. We visited the nearby mall and strolled around and spent time shopping on the road side.
Next day, we asked the hotel to book us a transport to the ‘Nong nooch village’. We were astonished at the site of the most beautifully built structures and plantations on our way to the ‘Nong nooch’.
Nong nooch, is a very famous spot of Pattaya, which has following things to offer us
• A tropical garden.
• Elephant show.
• Alcaraz Show.
• A muay thai boxing show.
• A garage full of exotic cars.
We spent an entire day here, witnessing the amazing Thai culture, goofing around and clicking pictures as the place was very picturesque.
We reached back to our hotel late. All tired, we resorted to our drinks and spent a lot of time in the infinity pool gazing at the sunset.
Some of us decided to go to the very famous ‘Walking street’, known for its nightlife, pubs, and go-go bars. We spent a lot of time here, just walking, and checking out all the places. This place can be a major culture shock to many. We also enjoyed some street food here. We returned to our hotel at around 3am.
Next up, after our breakfast at our hotel, we started off as early as possible to the ‘Coral islands’. Coral islands are about an hour boat ride away from beach road of Pattaya. The view of the Pattaya city from here is spectacular.
On coral islands, we enjoyed a variety of activities,
• Jet skiing,
• Para-sailing,
• Beach walking and
• Snorkeling.
This white sand beach is very pleasant and relaxing. All restaurants/shacks are one of a kind experience.
After an adventurous day, we came back to the hotel completely tired and resorted to our room for sleep.
3rd day, our plan was to go to the ‘Sanctuary of truth’ and the ‘Underwater world’.
4th day morning, we left Pattaya, and started towards Bangkok. On reaching the capital, we checked into our hotel. We did not have much time here, so we set off on the city tour.
We visited most of the touristy places in Bangkok, and the ‘khao san road’. The places must visit in Bangkok are:
• Grand Palace
• Temple of reclining Buddha
• Wat Arun
• Floating market
Post these later in the evening, we visited the view spots with incredible view of the Rama VIII bridge.
After this we headed to the Swarnabhumi airport, to catch out late night flight towards home. This trip gave us a lot of experiences and memories. We completely cherished our first visit to this beautiful monarch country.
