If you want to experience the happiness in the human being, if you want to explore the heaven on earth, if you want to chase the mountains, then Bhutan is the right place. The monks, monasteries, Buddhism are experienced in Bhutan. The way nature throws awesomeness at Bhutan it's glorious. I started to accomplish my Wishlist, hence planned for Bhutan.
Do s and Don't s for travel Bhutan by road or air:
1. Do pack your bags accordingly with the season.
2. Permit office keeps open on Monday to Friday. Be sure to arrive on time.
3. Visa on arrival also there. Avail that service after reaching to Paro directly.
4. For the permit, passport is mandatory and day wise booking details for the rest of the cities in Bhutan.
5. Bhutan gives 7 day travel permit once for selected cities. If anyone want to extend it they can extend from Thimphu itself.
6. Book car to travel to Bhutan if in case more people. It takes along 3500-4000 per day.
7. Buses are available but need to match the time.
8. If traveling by road then, make sure vehicle permit also need to take along with yours.
Finally day arrived for Bhutan back packing trip. Landed in bagdogra and started for jaigon which is Indian border to enter in Bhutan. From bagdogra you will get taxi service for jaigon. It takes around 5-6 hours from bagdogra to reach jaigon. Bagdogra is nearest airport for Bhutan, Sikkim.
Phuntsholing is the nearest border to Bhutan one who wants to travel by road from India. For travel permit, need to go early in the morning to avoid hassle for waiting. Passport or voters Id is necessary for getting travel permit to Indian citizens. For other countries e visa is the facility which is available on drukair site. After completing all formalities for travel permit, started journey to Thimphu.
In the evening, reaching to the Thimphu after so many hours of travel was the awesome feeling. Stayed there for the night, from the morning started sightseeing of Thimphu city. Till evening did Thimphu sightseeing, Visited Buddha statue of highest point. Also visited national memorial chorten, National park and walking buddha. we had amazing food like kevadatchi, emadatchi etc in Thimphu. Seen Dochula pass in the evening while starting for punakha.
On day 2 , we arrived at punakha at our accommodation. It's said that when you wake up with the awesome view of nature, your day is going to be fly with positive vibes. Day 3 , started with sightseeing of punakha. Visited punakha dzong and all their view points. It's said somewhere mountains are the heaven to feel and to greet. We greeted so many times. We arrived at suspension bridge. It was amazing view to see the suspension bridge. We spent some time while walking to the bridge and had some breakfast there. Then we went for one monestry which is situated on mountains. We did small Trekk to go there. That was first trekk of Bhutan. It was amazing feeling while going on the top.
Morning blessed with the views of Phobjika valley. We stayed at Homestay during the night. Happiness is to explore happiest country . Experienced and glorified with the humble nature of the people there. Tried butter tea, tea from yak's milk etc. Visited black necked cranes sanctuary in Phobjika valley. These species migrate to Phobjika during the winter time. Their conservation is taken care in the Phobjika valley. We did some landscape photography over there. Amazing nature and amazing people. Phobjika valley is called as Scotland of Bhutan. It's must visited place of the Bhutan. Lots of landscaping photography did at Phobjika valley. Started for bumthang for the next day's sightseeing.
Blessings of morning experienced in bumthang. Amazing monasteries and nature and glorified me. Visited Kurjey lakhang monestry which is most ancient monestry of Bhutan. There guru rinpoche visited this monestry earlier. There are lots of monasteries nearby to visit. Started for Thimphu early. Reached Thimphu in the night with lots of views in eyes.
Started day with sightseeing of paro. Visited Ringpung dzong and other monestries. Paro is beautiful city with amazing views. Had some night photography clicks for Ringpung dzong. Captured views inbetween valleys. Amazing places ever seen which are situated in the mountains. The day ended with lots of memories.
New day started with amazing feeling of trekking. For a core trekker it's amazing feeling when it comes to Trekk. Early morning started for Tiger's nest monastery trekk. It's 3200ft from paro. Guru rinpoche who called as starting Buddhism in Bhutan had travelled with help of tigress hence it's known as tiger's nest monastery. Incredible experience with the hiking. Day ended with hiking and back to Phuntsholing then next day to bagdogra.
Since haa valley remained in between due to lack of time. It can be 8 days trip through out Bhutan once planned. Lots of monasteries like Trongsa dzong, Ringpung dzong, punakha dzong etc are seen. Also their view points Can be seen. Once in a life everyone should have this kind of experience. Since any help in Iternary always welcomed.
