Hampta pass Trek Fail #TravelDisaster

2 years ago I had a trip which made me more questionable about my comfort zone and how well and quickly I adjust to situations around . And well, it was worth it.

It was my first Himalayan trek, where in as I reached the base camp it was already pouring cats and dogs. Rivers overflowing, no signal,  and then it started flooding slowly making it harder to live in such a damp, cold, weather waited for it to stop but seeing that it didn't stop raining for almost 2 days and the water started entering our tents , decided to quit the trek and stay put in a local homestay till the situation is normal and took a trip somewhere else instead !Well we did question ourselves if that was the right choice and if we should give up. But it was my time of the month and I thought I came here for some calm time and if this doesn't keep me calm I shouldn't do it. And yes it just took that one little will and we were out in a second. And instead of hampta pass, we went chandigarh, Amritsar which was so much fun be it food be it culture or even the people over there! I loved it when it was with my partner, my best friend that I just blindly believed he would decide the best for us and yes he did. I'm so grateful for that trip and will always be. And also once the rains stopped we took the state transport bus from Manali to chandigarh which was 15 hours   yes and all that on my first day! It was a mix of irritation, control, anxiety, hunger and pms. But now that I look back all that made me more stronger and raw !

It's all about being taking a step ahead and believing in that action of yours ! And it was hell of a journey 💝
