Paris is a beautiful city and it has something to serve to each traveler. It casts a spell so strong that it's difficult to rise above it's trance. I spent 4 days in Paris and any day less wouldn't serve justice to this city. The public transport is very well connected and eases roaming around in this magical and love bound city.

Day 1

  • Our 1st day started out late as we reached our Hotel the Eiffel Capitol by 2 p.m. The Eiffel was a 10 min. walk from the hotel
  • After getting clicked with the Eiffel and admiring it, we caught the Sine river cruise
  • Sine river Cruise is a Must Do! You understand the city through its waters and you get an idea of the city's history with the audio guide they provide.
  • After some lounging and walking around at the Eiffel we headed out to the Amalfi restaurant near our hotel. It serves some mouth watering italian delights and is easy on the pocket compared to the other places.

Day 2

  • Louvre was our plan for the next day. Believe me, the museum is so vast it takes an entire half day. The Mona Lisa is located at the far end of the museum so for the less-museum-enthusiastic like me that's where you straight away head. You will cover most of the important paintings and sculptures in the way.
  • Do get clicked with the Monumental White Pyramid and tick it off the Paris to-do list ;)
  • Then we took the metro and got off at the nearest station to the Opera.
  • The opera is so beautiful- the lights, architecture, theaters all have an old world feel to them. You just feel like wrapping all of it in you. Visited the Pantheon after this.
  • After the famous-monuments-visiting in the morning, we started with the food hunting in the evening (best part of Paris). The main foodie places you've got to go to are-

1. Pierre Hermes: for the Macaroons!

2. Hugo and Victor: Pastries

3. Eric Kayser: Baguettes

Day 3: Birthday Day

  • So I got the awesome opportunity to celebrate my birthday in Paris and I made the most of it. From the Parisian Pastries to cutting them in front of the Effiel tower, I did the whole shebang!
  • Got some really cool necklaces from the metro station along with bricks of chocolates and some cookies as birthday treats.
  • Started the day with Arc de Triomphe followed by the Chocolate museum and ended the day with a amazing italian meal after seeing the twinkling Eiffel.

Day 4

  • On our fourth day, we took a metro to the Sacre Coeur. It's on a hilltop and has an amazing view.
  • The streets near this place were beautiful. We spent some time roaming here and there in the streets and then caught the metro.
  • Got off near Alexandra Pont III and discovered the places and restaurants around.
  • A walk on Champs Elysees is a must. Don't shop (will surely burn a hole in your pocket) but a stroll in this area is delightful. This was followed by some falafel time at Maoz and some parisian Crepe Love.

This was my lovely trip to The City Of Love!

Feel free to comment below & ask any queries :)

The Eiffel has its magic. The view and the atmosphere itself pull you into a trance and no one should miss the twinkling Eiffel. That's a must watch view!

The Sine has a long associated history with Paris and guards its secrets deep within. Its a beautiful experience and the audio guides give you a pretty good knowledge about Paris and the river Sine.

The guardian of the Mona Lisa and many other famous paintings is the Louvre. This museum is huge and by huge i mean you need atleast 3 to 4 hours to cover it. The Mona Lisa was smaller than i expected but none the less this museum is a must visit as Paris is incomplete without it.

A view from the top of the Arc de Triomphe is a must. Its better than the the top of the Eiffel tower. why so? You see the Eiffel too from the Arc and its free! Soak in Paris and its streets from this monument.

Ohhh godd! The macaroons. My personal favorite was the Caramel one and also the Lemon. No macaroons = Incomplete Paris!

They have limited variety but if in the vicinity, do give it a try.

Tell me, is there any museum better than a chocolate museum? Nope! and they give you free chocolates ;)

Vegetarian falafel with loads of dips! I had them in Amsterdam and had to have more so again in Paris.

Yummy gooey bundles of goodness filled with Nutella and other delights. So good!
