DAY- 1
Proceed towards the West - Pelling, Sikkim
We started from NJP Railway Station by 11 am. If you want to come by flight then the nearest airport is Badgodra Airport which is 9 km away from Siliguri.
You can always avail private taxis and shared taxis to Gangtok, Pelling and other local places.
As it was my first trip to Hill Station so i was pretty excited as we moved towards high altitude. It was just amazing to watch those places, roads at high elevations.
Entering into Sikkim border..

We reached at our Hotel around 6:00 PM in the same day. Our hotel was situated in middle pelling . Pelling city has 3 parts i.e Upper, Middle and Lower Pelling.
Here if you haven't planned your trip, the hotels have tied up with many travel agent and taxi services. So no need to worry , they will arrange everything for you but some last minute arrangements normally costs little more.
DAY- 2
A Proper Start to the Day
In the Morning it was just awesome to watch the view along our balcony. It was a typical weather with clouds as it was slightly raining but the absolutely blew our mind...

Post breakfast at our hotel restaurant, we started our sightseeing around 9:30 AM with our hired Cab. Rain had Stopped and clear sky. We proceed towards :
1) Rimbi Falls
Rimbi Falls is situated near lower Pelling. It is just at the road side and it was an amazing view to watch.
2) Sewaro Rock Garden/ River Orange Garden
After Rimbi falls, we proceed towards this location which is around 4-5 kms from it. It was previously known as Sewaro Rock Garden but now it has been rebuilt renamed as River Orange garden . A small river passes by this garden and is named so.
Entry Fee- 10/- per person.
3) Khecheoparli Lake
Then we proceed towards this lake which is called as magical and wish fulfilling lake by the locals. Entry Fee - 30/- per person ..
4) Kanchenjunga Falls
It is the Biggest waterfall in Pelling. You can have Momos, Wye Wye noodles, Fried Rice , and some other fastfood items here. Also you can have packed snacks, choclates and other items. Local Traditional wearable jewelry and costumes available here for women to take photographs.
Entry Fee - 20/- per person.
5) Pemayangtese Monastery
It is One of the oldest Monastery Founded on 1705 . Excellent Place to spend time.
6) Rabdentse Ruins
It is just located near the Monastery. It was the ancient Capital of Sikkim . You have to do a small trek around 2 kms to reach in this palace. Very excellent place to visit. Your trek will surely worth it.
7) Helipad Ground
This was the last place in our itenary for Pelling. It is located at the top i.e upper pelling. Here you can witness the whole city .
With this our tour for Pelling ended. You can try two local Delicacy here other than momos i.e- 1) Thukpa , 2) Thentuk . Both dishes available in Veg and Non-veg categories...
DAY- 3
Proceeding Towards Namchi via Ravangla
Post Breakfast We Started from Pelling around 9 am towards Namchi.
1 ) Samdruptse
Here you can find Guru Padmasambhava Statue which is very very big . The entry fee is 30/- per person .
There is a Rope-way Facility along side to it. You can Proceed through it to Namchi Rock Garden. Entry Fee- 175/- Per Person
2) Namchi Char Dhaam / Sidheswar Dham
Well this is a must must visit place as here Sikkim has built India's Chaardham Replica and it is really beautiful. On the top of the hills , in between clouds . Its a treat to watch the place if the weather remains clear. Must visit...
Entry fee 50/- per person .
After this we proceed towards Gangtok and reached by 7 pm.
DAY- 4
Exploring Gangtok ( East Sikkim)
1) Ban Jhakri Falls
Post breakfast we proceed towards it . It is one of the biggest park and has a beautiful waterfall in it.

2) Namgyal Institute of Tibetology
It is a Tibet Museum founded on 1957 . All collectives , Cultures can be found here. Very good Place. Unfortunately Taking pictures not allowed.
3) Flower Exhibition Centre
You can find some different varieties of orchid and other flowers. A very good place to visit.
4) Enchey Monastery
One of the oldest Monastery , established on 1909 . Very calm and Quiet place to visit.
5) Ganesh Tok
There is a Ganesh temple named as Ganesh tok is at a well decorated place near the Himalayan Zoological Park. Very beautiful temple of Lord Ganesha. Gift shops and a Cafeteria adjacent to it serve some good foods to tourists.
6) Himalayan Zoological Park
One of the best places I have ever been to. A zoo in between the hills. Here you can find some rare animals like Blue Goat, Snow Leopard, Red Panda etc etc. A must Visit place. But keep in mind you have to walk a lot through the elevation. There is also a bird sanctuary adjacent to it. Must Visit Place

7) Gonjang Monastery
It was the last Monastery in our trip. It is situated at the North Sikkim Highway near to Tashi View Point. Very Beautiful, newly developed one. From there you can view the whole Gangtok city . Well designed, cleaned and well maintained. Top Class.
8) M.G Marg Market
This a compulsory visit . If you came to Gangtok and never visited this, your tour will remain incomplete. It is the heart of Gangtok. Here you will get everything. It is the most cleanest market in India. It is very clean and in evening it itself a beauty. Very nice to sit in evening. An unforgettable place.

Palzor Stadium
It is a football stadium and home ground to United Sikkim Football Club with a gallery capacity of 25,000 people .
DAY- 5
Time to Take-off
On day 5 we were just roaming around the local markets at lal bazar and MG marg. We checkout of the hotel by 1 pm and our pickup was ready to drop us at NJP Railway Station. We reached at NJP by 5 pm. A lot of good memories we brought with us are to be missed. :-)
This was all for our sikkim tour. As we planned for a short trip but we enjoyed a lot. Pelling and Gangtok has its own set of beauties . Due to land slides we cudnt make it to Changu lake, Baba Mandir and Nathula Pass as roads were closed since 3-4 days. Hopefull next time we will cover what we have missed.
If you are going in a group of 4 people or more , maximum upto 12-13k will be sufficient per person or less than it as per your budget. So must visit and take the good memories.
