It was just perfect time to go on a vacation, I was done with my college exams and had nothing to do. That's when it occurred to me, hey let's go to places!
When I thought of going to Rishikesh and Badrinath I wasn't much excited about it! I thought that it'd be just like every other religious place in India (super crowded, loud, very non peaceful) But when I got there I felt like I couldn't be more wrong! Rishikesh turned out to be the most peaceful and amazingly beautiful. And also it is kind of an adventure capital around North of India! It offers activities like rafting, bungee and also trek to Neergarh falls is one of the must dos when you're there. After spending 2 days in Rishikesh I was all set to start the ultimate Himalayan road trip to one of the most sacred places on earth, The badrinath temple! The journey is about 300 km from Rishikesh and takes 2 days so night stay in Joshimath is very much recommended. Roads are comparatively good till joshimath but after that they just kinda stop co operating! Arriving in Badrinath was just the best feeling till now. Very small village like place in between the holy temple and surrounded by the longest and biggest mountain ranges. The environment is so pleasant in summers here. This place has its own very huge importance when it come to Hinduism, one of the most important pilgrimage for Hindus to do in their lifetimes. It's like a religious must dos. If you're travelling alone in this route, you shouldn't be worried at all because you'd always be accompanied by the most spectacular scenic beauty of all times the Ganges and Himalayas (best combo ever)! Going to all these places and seeing things made me realise that it doesn't matter if you believe in God or not if you believe in nature and its amazing creativity you should definitely give it a shot.
