Sunset at Miramar beach, Goa, India
Whenever you would hear of Goa, what does come in your mind??
You would say beaches, parties, churches, forts right?
But in my case, I would say sunsets. Because from almost all the beaches and forts you would be able to see the sunset. Even though Goa is the smallest state in western coast of India, It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in India. Goa is the best place to explore as a tourist, traveller, sunset lover, parties lover, etc etc.. It's my wish that if I would get a job there I would surely like to spend some time there and will find some best hidden spots to travel.
Here is one more sunset post from my Goa trip. This is the day on which we decided to visit the stunning churches and most famous point from singham movie Dona Paula. So we headed towards Panaji and we visited both the churches, first is Our Lady Of Immaculate Conception Church and the second one is UNESCO HERITAGE site Bom Jesus Basilica as well as Dona Paula. After that we were searching about the place or a beach for a beautiful sunset. As it's almost time for sunset we searched for nearby beaches only. We found the Miramar beach as most visited beach in Panaji. So we went there to enjoy the sunset.
Miramar beach is situated in heart of city. It's very famous and easily accessed by locals and tourists. Nearest bus stop is Panaji. it's just 3 KM away. The beach is road touch and offers free parking area. Even if you are using public transport for travelling, Miramar beach is easily accessible.
As there are only two beaches in Panaji, if you are roaming in Panaji then Miramar beach is one of the best choices for sunset. Miramar beach offers wonderful view of very famous fort Aguada which lies across the river from the beach. The beach is covered with soft sand and trees facing Arabian sea. One can try water activities there but for that you have to check the weather conditions and season. One can find few educational institutes at near by area. Because of that Miramar beach is also famous for few cafes and local food.
