Someone has said "If you wanna travel, plan less ...Travel More!"
There are sometimes when you don't plan things and spontaneity turns out to be best thing.
One fine day me and my friends just decided to spend the long weekend in Pondicherry(Puducherry) . That was it.
We started looking for a ride which we got from a travel agency which was like 5 min away from our PG .
(Pondicherry is around 300km from Bangalore which is a 6-8 hrs ride by road)
Some of us were on duty to hunt down hotels or homestay (mainly OYO). So we shortlisted some here and there . We had a rough idea or plan of the trip in mind, picked up the AUX cable and there we were ….On The Road , Bangalore-->Pondicherry.
Pondicherry is blessed with natural beauty and coasts of Arabian sea and Bay of Bengal . So there are only few things you can do in Pondicherry - visit the beaches and indulge into authentic and unlimited seafood.
Beaches you will see here you won't probably be able to find anywhere else in India.
Serene,Clean and Uncrowded.
You won't see many tourists or people here as they are not mainstream yet.
The best beaches there are :
Serenity beach : As the name suggests a beautiful ,serene, charming beach where you can spend your day just exploring ,walking /strolling by the beach and eat along this gorgeous beach.
There are also classy and simple restaurants and cafes here which are definitely a must visit .
Auroville : This is one of the best beach here . Clear water , beautiful shores , enchanting breeze is surely something people from cities crave for. You will find beautiful and vibrant beach resorts to spend your holiday having a sea view.
Rock Beach: This Beach is like Marine drive, numerous rocks attached to the beach side . Main attraction of rock beach is witnessing the stunning sunrise and sunset sitting on the rocks relaxing for hours.
There are many restaurants ,cafes and bars along the beach where you can find delicious and exotic seafood which you can enjoy with sea view .
Paradise beach: This beautiful white sand beach is surely a must visit. It is quite crowded as compared to other beaches. Having beautiful views of the ocean and few water sports , it's quite fun to spend your day here .
You will also find hints of Portugal culture here which you will witness quite often while exploring the city which has traces of a different era.
Also a visit to the French colony is a must ,it is a sight to explore . It has vibrant buildings of colonial style with high walls and mostly painted in yellow ,white and blue.
So in all Pondy is a great getaway with your friends and family once in a lifetime ❤️.
