THE DREAM (ख्वाब)
Everyone dreams of an experience of spending time in an ancient architecture which has stood strong across centuries. The easiest things one can think is a mansion or a palace converted to Luxury Hotels. But to actually spend a day over there may cost a fortune.
THE PLANNING (योजना)
While planning our trip to Rajasthan we also thought out all the option to find a Budget-friendly place which can provide us with the same vibes. We failed to get anything like that or didn't search religiously and went with whatever Budget options available. For Jodhpur, we booked the Jewel Palace Haweli which cost us 1500 per room per day.
THE SHOCK (झटका)
We reach Jodhpur at 9:00 PM after a day-long journey from Jaipur covering Ajmer and Pushkar on our way. After failing to locate the Haweli with the help of Google Maps we seek help from the locals. In that process we came to know that reaching the Haweli with our Innova(SUV) is not possible rather we have to opt for Auto/Tempo or to walk as the lanes are very narrow. Walking was not an option so we opted for an Auto. Till the time we reach the Haweli I was cursing myself for not doing enough research before booking.
THE DISCOVERY (आविष्कार)
Finally, We Reached Haweli. As soon as we enter the Haweli the Owner greeted us and asked us to complete the formality. While talking with him we came to know that its a 500-year-old Haweli. He also narrated us how he redesigned each and every room to rent it commercially without affecting the essence. He also told us about how some of the famous movies was shot in its vicinity. Our perspective changed completely and undeniably felt a sense of relief after a brief period of stress.
THE EXPLORE(खोज)
After all those info the curiosity to explore the Haweli was sky High. Over the next two days, we had an amazing and memorable stay. From the terrace, one can have a view of the old city and get to know why it is called BLUE CITY.
WHAT ELSE MAKE IT SPECIAL??? (और क्या खास बनाता है???)
1.It is rightly located in the old part of the city.
2. Mehrangarh fort is at a walkable distance.
3.While taking a stroll in those narrow lanes one can get a close look of the city, its people and their culture.
