Drive. Rain. "Yatra" by Amit Trivedi.

A 10 hour drive from our hometown Kochi. Trust me, we didn't cover the major attractions of Coorg, mainly because the climate wasn't encouraging and we didn't have the luxury of time.

The Buddhist monastery was the only high I would point out. Right from the sight of them monks in their attire, riding Pulsars in the town, to their rush into the temple when the prayer bell banged on our ears, everything was a sight memorable. For some reason, they seemed alien, and that might be because we all are frantic evils these days. The discipline that the air of the monastery held was felt the moment it was entered. And the yumm that their veg restaurant served at the most outrageously cheap prices was savored with relish.

So let the green lush and the river rafting be for someone else to narrate. My High goes to the visit of the Buddhist monastery.
