The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (Vietnamese: Lăng Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh) is a large memorial in Hanoi, Vietnam. It is located in the centre of Ba Dinh Square, which is the place where Vietminh leader Ho Chi Minh, Chairman of the Communist Party of Vietnam from 1951 until his death in 1969, read the Declaration of Independence on September 2, 1945, establishing the Democratic Republic of Vietnam.

With a distinctive design, setting it apart from any pagodas you might have seen, the One Pillar Pagoda was completely rebuilt after the French destroyed it before they left the country. Locals believe that praying here brings one fertility and good health.

Located in Hanoi's mammoth West Lake, this pagoda, unlike the One Pillar pagoda, has a traditional pagoda design and is the oldest pagoda in Hanoi. The surrounding area is very peaceful and is ideal for a languid walk along the lake's banks.

The museum has a number of artifacts on display from the conflict with the colonialists to the violence that the country saw in recent years. The outdoor area is littered with a number of plans and tanks used during the Vietnam-US conflict.
