The national park is 176 km away from Guwahati, the capital city of the state. However, you can also stay overnight in hotels in the vicinity. Usually the locals are friendly and mind their own business.

How to reach:

The nearest airport is the Guwahati airport. Trains from various part of India go to Guwahati and the city is well connected to the rest of the country.You can take a conducted tour managed by the Assam Tourism Department. Regular buses run from Guwahati to Manas National Park.
