As summer begins, everyone has a strong desire to plan a trip and convert it into a successful one. Lying under the umbrella on a sandy beach, enjoying the warm sun, the cool breeze through your hair - just the feeling of it excites the traveller inside me. And the traveller inside me jumped with excitement when I heard our group was planning a trip to Goa. Those long conversations on the newly made WhatsApp group “Go Goa”, those plans full of exhilaration were just the beginning of a truly awesome trip. The trip began at Pune with 5 friends full of euphoria, It was just amazing.

D-day : March 14th, all set to board a train full of joyfulness. We boarded the Hazrat Nizamuddin Vasco da gama express at 4:30 P.M and started our journey towards Goa. We were all set to make our trip an awesome trip. Reaching Madgaon station at 6 AM the next day, we let the morning breeze wash over us as we took in the fresh air of Goa. We already had our cab booked, so there were no worries to reach our hotel. Though we booked an Hyundai i20, what arrived was a Maruti Suzuki Swift as the i20 was not a tourist car and the Swift was. We paid ₹ 1300 per day for the car. After getting the car, we headed straight to SAL DE GOA, our hotel and the place we had to live for the next 4 days of amazement in Goa. The beach was just 200 meters from our doorstep, so we had the added advantage of visiting the beach anytime we wanted!

Day 1

On the first day of our trip we decided to go to Surla waterfall. As we hit the road, we took the wrong turn, left instead of right, and ended up Dudhsagar Waterfall. The entry for Dudhsagar was Rs 700, and including over all other activities, we had option to pay 2000. So we decided to skip the boating and explored the spice garden. The entry charge for Spice garden was Rs 400, including lunch, but didn’t include the Elephant Shower. For Elephant shower we had to pay Rs 700. The lunch was delicious, and the Fish Salad was just amazing. After exploring the Spice garden, we came back to our place at night and headed for dinner. After finishing the dinner, when the bill arrived I was completely flabbergasted, the dinner is quite affordable near Calingute Beach.

Day 2

As the second day dawned, we all got fresh up and it was a beer day. We spent the entire day sipping up on beer on Calingute beach because what is a Goa trip without the beer day. Each traveller inside us goes Goa for beer and night life. The entire day we had Budweiser which costs you Rs 80 and Bira White which costs Rs 45. The fun of gulping beer on the warm beach with foot getting wet in beach water, it still gives me Goosebumps.

Day 3

We decided to go for sightseeing. We all woke up and left our place at 10 A.M. We explored the Leopard Valley, a beautiful place. There are 3-4 beaches in Leopard Valley, and if you are taking car, make sure you grab your barbeque setup, Bluetooth speakers and have your own private party. The beaches are amazing, just don’t take left from Leopard Valley name stone, the road is quite awful instead you can opt for straight road through the village, and on the way you can ask the villagers for the route to Butterfly beach. The beach is situated right after Honeymoon beach. There are many beaches between Palolem and Agonda. Agonda is a huge beach and even there is a rock formation that resembles a Tortoise on Butterfly beach, you can see the rock formation while exiting from Honeymoon beach. The Chicken and Fish tastes amazing here. Here is where you can have delicious Chicken, Moraes Fast Food, Old Market.

Day 4

As the final day of our trip approached, we decided to explore the old yet alluring churches in South Goa. The history attached with churches is quite surprising, and the big beautiful churches are built so well that they are still standing. Every church has its own story and past. We visited Se Cathedral church, Chapel of our lady of the mount, Adil Shah Palace Gateway, Church of St. Cajetan Velha, and Viceroy's Arch. At Adil Shah Palace Gateway, we witnessed the shoot of Tamil movie. The places were amazing with great past history and amazing structure.
