Last week, the party capital had announced the imposition of Section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code in North Goa, which means that the unlawful assembly of four or more people was not permitted. The decision was made in light of an intelligence report that hinted towards a possible terror threat.

The notification was issued by R. Menaka, the District Magistrate of North Goa, and it stated that the order will be in effect for 60 days, from February 11 - April 10, 2020.

However, the order was revoked on February 18, 2020 in light of the famous Goa Carnival.

So if you were apprehensive about your upcoming trip to Goa, there's nothing to worry about anymore. Party till you drop, chill on the beach in however big a group you want, and have the time of your life without any restrictions. Nevertheless, let's not forget to respect the local culture and people, and remember to always be kind and considerate to fellow-travellers.
