Yumthang valley is called the valley of flowers with Teesta river flowing through the valley on one side and snow-capped mountains on the other side. It is located in North Sikkim.
HOW TO REACH:
You have to book with a travel agency for 2D/1N North Sikkim tour. You can do it online or book after reaching Gangtok. To reach Yumthang valley you have to go to Lachung(only place for accommodation near valley), 125KM from Gangtok. Stay there at night in a hotel and wake up early at 5 AM. Yumthang valley is 28KM from Lachung and will take 2 hours. Cost of the trip may vary from 1.5k to 3k per person (with all inclusions) depending on your bargaining skills and tourist season. Flower blooming season in the valley is from Feb to June. I visited Yumthang valley in April 2018 but the valley was full of snow instead of flowers.
