The Capital city of Sikkim, is the main hub for tourists. One have to visit the city in order to explore Sikkim. With the height of 5,413ft, has pleasant cool weather. You can get vehicles from Silliguri, NJP, Bagdogra, Darjeeling and other places of hills. The native people will surely win your heart.

With pretty good crowd ,this place is best to hangout. It has bars and restaurants with Tibetan cuisine. Indians restaurants are there too like Khan Uncle. Enjoying frozen icecream at chilling night is an amazing experience.

One can easy visit it from MG marg. It is just at walking distance. 4 floored market with different kinds of shops.

For North Sikkim,we had to make passes as it's a military area. Hotels will help you make passes and they will manage the loding and fooding for the entire north sikkim trip. We went to Lachung ,a remote place in North Sikkim. The road is bit dangerous, very often blocked by landslides and heavy rain. One the way we got to see many waterfalls. You can feel the road and river teesta parallel.

It almost took a day to reach Lachung enjoying the waterfalls on the way.

At the height of 12,800ft is very cold place.. it took almost 4 hrs to reach yumthang from Lachung. We found speechless views. know as the valley of flowers ,24 species of Rhododendrons are found here. You can please you beautiful eyes with more beautiful flowers in the month of April.

At the height of 15,750 ft, this place is know to have snow. It took 1 and half hr to reach from Yumthang. This place is very near to China(Tibetian) border. Yaks are found here...also called Heaven on Earth because of alluring views from here. One can have breathing problems here so it's literally breathtaking place in both ways.

Another stop for the tourist in North Sikkim. More developed than Lachung. Lachen's and Lachung's road is divided from Chumthang ..almost equal distance from here..

The second heightest lake of India at the height of 17,800ft..It felt as if we were in heaven..the lake is very clean and sacred for Bhudhist ,Hindus as well as Sikhs. It gives a stream which joins the stream provided by Tso Lhamo lake(heightest lake in India ht-18,000 ft) to make the river Teesta..Due to it's height , hypoxic hypoxia is experienced..

As discrbed earlier, it is the heightest lake of India.. Surrounded by snowy peaks, these 2 lakes get frozen in the winters..

Known to have snow-covered peaks and you can feel the snow. Road is divided from the road to Gurudongmar Lake..

We returned Gangtok from North sikkim. Now it was time for outskirts of Gangtok. Monasteries and a Waterfall..

The park is a bit outside of Gangtok town. The park's statuary and other displays document the Ban Jhakri, or traditional shamanic healer who worships spirits living in caves around the falls.

The capital city of South Sikkim..It took 3hrs to reach Namchi from Gangtok. Hotels near Taxi stand are cheap like Hotel Pradhan and the food here is very tasty. It is a small town with beautiful views and market. It too has a ropeway . Book a local taxi for side seeing of Namchi..

Beautifully built for tourists consisting the made models of Chardham of India and a gigantic status of lord Shiva .

Located at the opposite hill to the Chardham hill. Holy place for Bhudhist. View of Mt kanchanjunga is alluring from this hill..
