"No Wonder , it's a wonder"
Catching a glimpse of the Taj Mahal is in everyone's bucket list. I was fortunate enough to catch the same back in 2019.
I, along with my parents took the Gatimaan Express early morning from Delhi to Agra on the 21st of October, 2019.
After having reached Agra within 3 hours and getting ourselves freshened up, we left for our first destination of the day. We had rented a car for the whole day to visit the entire city of Agra.
The car rates might have changed now (back then, the concerned person charged Rs.1800/- for the whole day).
Quite a long way from the main city of Agra, the Fatehpur Sikri is a place of Historical importance.
We reached Fatehpur Sikri within an hour and a half of leaving Agra(There are certain timings of every monument which you should make sure you check before landing up there. Also, you need to book the tickets either online or offline. Check the official sites in Google for news and announcements).
The view was amazing and breathtaking. If possible, please take a guide to know more about the place since there's a lot of history involved with every corner of the place.
I had pre-book the tickets of the Taj Mahal online to avoid longer queue. (Please refrain from planning your visit to the Taj on Fridays as it remains closed).
I would definitely fall short of words to describe my experience of visiting the Taj Mahal. A marvellous structure built entirely of marble would definitely put anyone in awe.
This place is special for its Sunset view.
When the sun sets, the Taj Mahal turns into a different color, kinda yellowish, which is a treat to the eyes. We reached late and by then, the gates had already been closed.
We managed to catch the sunset from a nearby area.
The Agra Fort is huge and beautiful and you indeed need some good amount of time in your hand to complete going around the whole place.
We were short of time since we had just a day to complete all these places. I am definitely gonna visit the Agra fort next time I step into the city.
