It's rightly said "Best Moments Happen When They Are Unplanned".

One fine morning that's exactly what me and my husband thought about and decided to visit the rarely explored fort - Kurumbera. I did have a plan to visit the fort with my husband but due to our tight schedule was not able to plan out anything. But yes that morning it was just out of impulse we decided that we should go.

My husband being a passionate biker is always an added advantage for me as I love to travel a lot and specially if they are unplanned. Around 1 PM my husband,sister-in-law and myself started our journey from Kharagpur. My husband was busy concentrating on his biking via Salua-Keshiary route. Thus ,being pillions me and my sister-in-law didn't have much activities to do,so we continued what we do our best that is enjoying the scenic beauty and singing our hearts loud.

Around 2 PM we reached our destination - The Kurumbera Fort, situated in a village named Gaganeshwar in west Midnapore district of Bengal. The only best thing that the village has to offer to the archaeologists, travellers and photographers is this majestic fort built by the rulers of ancient era. Currently,it is being protected and maintained by Archaeological Survey Of India.

"Kurum" means stone & "Bera" means fence which is enough to describe the rustic beauty of the fort. Hence,it creates enough opportunity for the photographers like my husband for capturing some beautiful shots there. Hence,we also managed to do a photo shoot inside the laterite engraved fort which created the perfect backdrop along with me and my sister-in-law occasionally reversing our roles between model and assistant to help my husband.

With the onset of the dusk, it was time to leave for our home.As there were not much options to eat, cakes and biscuits turned out to be our only saviour during lunch.

We did return home with half filled stomach but what mattered most was our heart had overflown with beautiful moments.
