Even before I had any plans to visit Bangkok the pictures of the streets and the Big Budha statue used to fascinate me a lot.

So, I booked a bike taxi and came to the Big Budha without delay. It is a majestic statue.

But, what now. It's big, I am here, now?

My task was to find the streets from where you can see the statue. I opened the map chose a direction with lanes and houses and started walking that side.

I went more profound than I planned to, I was in small old lanes where people would have rarely seen a tourist. Forget about the English.

There I went to a shop to buy water and found this guy with tattoos from head to toe. With little translation, the reason for the tattoos he told me was 'fashion'.

There were these kids fishing in the river and many school kids were on their way back home. This style of school bag is common there. A leather bag with a key chain.

I found many spots to capture the Big Budha and after sunset, I left for Chinatown.

The streets of Chinatown were not as fun alone as it was with friends. Because everything here is an experiment and it's easy to do food experiments with friends.

In an almost sad mood, I was going to go back to my hostel but there I heard Indian music. I looked back and saw this.

A road show with Lord Ganesh and some local rituals I had no clue about.

On inquiring from the people there I found out it's Ganesh Visarjan day and Navratri, so they have made some mixture of Ganesh and Kali Mata.

You never know when roads show you something new. Always keep the explorer in you alive and active.

If you like such narrations and you are reading it till here. Do let me know in the comments, that's the motivation to write more :)
