THE DHARAMSHALA

Day 2

Starting the exploration next day, the best thing to start the exploration is to rent a bike if you are a bike enthusiast, the bikes are easily available, you can ask the hotel desk to book the bike they can help you with that. I rented the a thunderbird at Rs.900 per day with no deposits. If you don't want to rent a bike then best way is to take cabs which are easily available offering entire day packages with a promise of showing you various points. But my suggestion would be to customize the packages according to you since the packages offered by them includes various useless places.

Without further ado let's enjoy the ride of dharamshala. The foremost place which I decided to visit was Mcleodganj which is nearby dharmshala and is situated at upper hills of dharmshala. The Mcleodganj is famous for its namgyal monastery which is located in lap of mountains where you can enjoy the nature to its fullest.

After enjoying the peace and eternity, it was time to move ahead, the next stop was the place where the dalai lama used to reside, the Tsuglaglhang. Enclosing various stupas and temples the place is joy to visit. If you are fan of archaeological offerings then Tibetan museum is for you which is in the same complex.

Once I was done with beautiful place it was time for refueling the body which was quite easy with mouth watering food at cafes near the complex.

Proceeding further I went to Bhagsu falls, the fall is situated at the top of mountain which can be rehearsed by climbing up the stairs, but frankly speaking if you are not fond of walking then this place is not for you because you have to walk quite a distance, but I promise once you are the top you won't lament a bit because that's a feast to watch. Water flowing from top. The sun rays falling on the crystal clear water with light breeze touching your cheeks, the falls are incredible.

Descending down from Mcleodganj I got the opportunity to visit St. john, if you are a church fan like me then mark my words this is a must visit place.

After reaching back to dharamshala it was time to visit the much awaited HPCA stadium and the wait was worth it, residing in the center of hills, the view from the stadium is breathtaking. You can imagine yourself watching a match over there and enjoying that sight.

In the evening if you are willing to sit, relax and eat then there is a shopping mall which offers best of the view. Seating there, having your favorite roll in hand and enjoying the sun set just adds cherry to the cake.
