In fact, it is also deeply associated with Goddess Durga as it is believed that this is the spot where she killed Mahishasur, the demon. Therefore, Mrikula Devi Temple is as important as any Shaktipeeth around the country. If you're someone who is religious and believes in god, you must experience the sheer peace and bliss that this temple offers.
Located 9km away from Udaipur, lies Triloknath, an 8th century temple that is held in high regard by both, Buddhists and Hindus. This is the only temple in the world that is worshipped by both the religions as such. For Hindus, the deity in the temple is Shiva while Buddhists worship him as Arya Avalokiteshwar. The temple also has an interesting test for all devotees. It features a column which cannot be crossed if you are a sinner, no matter how thin or flexible you may be. So head to Triloknath if you want to put yourself on test.
53km away from Udaipur lies Keylong, the administrative centre of Lahaul Spiti. A famous attraction here that you must check out is Kardang Monastery. Dating back to the 12th century, the monastery is a beautiful one that you must visit. Enjoy the serenity at Kardang, as well as the breathtaking views.
You may have heard of the popular Chadratal but I am sure that you haven't heard of Suraj Tal, located 125km away from Udaipur. The interesting fact about the lake is that it remains frozen even in the month of June. So if you're looking to behold a once-in-a-lifetime sight, Suraj Tal is the place to go.
Infamous as the most dangerous pass in the country, Saach Pass should be on your list especially if you're an adventure junkie. Located only 65km away from Udaipur, this mountain pass remains open only from June-October.
This high-mountain pass situated in Zanskar mountain range is 129km away from Udaipur. The route to the pass is famous for massive snow walls that are formed on either sides of the road. In addition, long icicles formed underneath the mountains make for an exciting sight.
