Dreams. Dreams are best experienced when they come true unexpectedly! With a desire of experiencing the magic of snowfall, I visited Manali in Dec 2015. It was about 8 in the morning when I woke up in the bus, the view outside was sparkling! the sky was covered under the blanket of clouds! The peaks were whiter than the white. Reached Manali, the wind was freezing but couldn't challenge my excitement! I had rented a bike that day, celebrating the white a white classic 350 was my mate for the day. Moving towards Gulaba at 12:30pm the temperature was falling as the altitude was getting higher, my hands were already rough and dry like a stone in the drought. Riding on, I entered the the forest area, the leaves had broken up with the trees and the brown stems were already kissing the snow. I stopped and ran into the snow, after my 2nd step my boots were dipped in the snow! And then something happened, small flakes started to dance around! Yep snowfall! ohh wait! it stopped! and I came to know that snow can also control the Adrenaline. Excitement was higher than the peaks, and resumed the ride. I met some persons who told that it was about to snow as per the info on internet, and there were no more than 5 vehicles on the road beyond that point and I was the only one on Bike in the entire open route! (Adventurous? ). Moving on, I witnessed the best combination of the white and brown colors. I stopped and clicked some pictures, Looking around I noticed a frozen waterfall on the hill in front of me, This was the time when I felt the meaning of the word "Wonderful".
Riding on, I passed all the vehicles which were actually returning back and I was the only person in that region other than the rangers. Riding along the valley I reached a spot where there was a lot of snow on the road, trying to pass it at a speed of 5kmph, the bike displaced sideways and I preferred freezing hug with the road rather than falling in the valley. Okay this was the sign, god wants me to not go further and return. I stood up, looked around, I do not have words to explain that feeling. I picked the bike and parked it beside the road! Ground was about 3 feet below the snow, and even the Trees were covered with snow, a small frozen waterfall was there nearby. I looked at the hills around, it was deep, that feeling was deep. I was lost somewhere in the view! Looking at the Peaks, the view suddenly started to fade, and fade was twinkling! yes! The snowflakes were coming down, a shower of white tiny flakes was all around! Some flakes flew towards me, and suddenly there were snowflakes everywhere on my face. Yes! It was my first snowfall! Dim Sunlight, faded view, a not so heavy Snowfall, the brown forest and me, and the bike ofcourse! this was the moment when I felt the word "Enchanting". This was the moment when I was living the dream, unexpectedly. It was me with myself. And suddenly I realized, "What if, this keeps getting heavier? I'm alone in this area! What if the road gets blocked?" Yep definitely more than fearing I was excited about a true adventure! I was high on hills! I know that would have led to nothing but a mishap! Well I've always respected the nature and started to ride back! The snowfall slowly stopped. Well riding back to the township, I never realized I was happy living a life where I had no Destination, I had no expectations from life. I just went there with a dream and I enjoyed it the best when It came true unexpectedly.
