Brilliant Nightlife

While speaking of Asian paradise, it must be admitted that the Philippines are the perfect destination to which you would think first. This archipelago of more than 7 000 islands is full of diverse landscapes. Right from the north to beautiful beaches further south, through the fervor of Manila, get ready to discover a country still preserved from mass tourism that will amaze you with its culture, hospitality and kindness.

A little history

The country, known as "Las Islas Felipinas" in honor of the Infante of Spain (future Philip II of Spain), joined the Spanish colonial empire in 1565. The complex history of this country reflects the diversity of its culture. A mix of Malayo-Polynesian cultures and Hispanic to Chinese and American influences are still extant. Today Catholic religion predominates in entire Philippines.

Here are the reasons you need to visit Philippines.

Pinatubo Volcano, a trip to the center of Earth

Volcanic soil of Pinatubo, offer a stunning natural scenery. The volcanoes are also numerous and active. Start your journey from Manila aurora to reach the village of Santa Juliana, 90 kilometers southeast of the capital. After 45 minutes of tumultuous Jeep ride, you can reach the first check point where the trekking kicks off. You need to walk continuously for three hours to reach the magnificent top. It is important to carry enough water as heat waves dehydrate you. On arriving at the crater, you will be bemused by an explosion of colors: a lake in the turquoise water surrounded by steep cliffs where vegetation gently reasserts itself. It may appear to you like a real postcard. If you are true adventure junkie, this place will never fail to flabbergast you. Descend down from the top to reach the jeep and return to the village of Sant Juliana before the place is doused with the dimness of night.

Banaue Rice fields, classified as World Heritage by UNESCO

The rice terraces of Banaue are classified as cultural world heritage site by UNESCO. This un-spoilt area, where rice fields extend to the horizon, is sculpted by man for 2000 years to support the human race.  You can board on a famous Jeepney on a steep mountain road that will help you to discover the region. After a few stops along the way to admire the landscape, you can find yourself amidst the rice fields. To walk through the rice fields, permission is needed from Banaue Tourist Office. You can also visit the website of the Office: visitmyphilippines.com for further details. After buying a few kilos of rice memories, you can leave the beautiful scenery to discover another facet of the Philippines, equally attractive: the heavenly beaches of the south in the Bacuit archipelago.

El Nido, Stairways to Paradise

If heaven exists, look no further, it is here: north of the island of Palawan. Upon arrival on the tarmac, the archipelago offers an astounding vista. Steep islets and rocks with black color that contrasts with the clarity of the water and lush vegetation will never let you down. The village of El Nido is the starting point for your adventures. On the way, you will come across several hotels, restaurants and agencies to lend a hand while you explore the most stunning spots in the region. All the agencies offer more or less the same circuit tour and take you to Big Lagoon, Coconut Island, Small Lagoon or Snake Island, which are the primary destinations in El Nido.
